to summarize, it just gos to show you what happenns when idiots get on the field. I will never play with him again.

No offense, but I wouldn't be pointing my finger... You got on the field with him knowing he wasn't wearing eye protection and basically did nothing. (Especially given the controllability of an 8-player game.)

You're no Einstein yourself.

YOU as the shooter should have taken that in mind before you dropped the hammer on him. He had no right being out there in the 1st place without eyes on. I agree with what has been said already. Darwinism at it's finest. What a tool.

Pepper,

While I do agree that this moron got what he deserved, you should've been a bit more mature about it and told him to take a hike. It's things like this that give the community as a whole, a black eye and make us look more and more like a bunch of trigger happy wanna-be commandos running around shooting all over the place at anything that moves just to get our kicks.

If this little incident had made the news, it would've been just one more piece of ammo for people to use against our sport. I'm sure you're not the only person who's ever done this and you won't be the last, so don't take this personally at all by any means, but use a bit more common sense in the future. Just tell the moron to take a hike and if he/she gives you a hard time, you get a hold of the rest of us in the community. I (WE) will back you up 100%.

Bottom line......
SAFETY is our primary concern on the field and everyone of us in the community is a "Range Safety". If you see something that is or may be a safety concern, call it. Stop the game and fix it. Don't let it become another case of someone loosing an eye, or god forbid, their life.

Dmitri I fully acknowledge your point but as the youngest member in the group i felt slightly ill equiped to tell the second organizer of the skirmish to take a hike I did warn him and voice my concern after that i felt I had done my part in telling him to get eyeprotection and warning him of what might happen.

Knuckles I am not sure if you are identifying me as the shooter. I was with him when he was shot but I didnt shoot him.

And in the future I wont be taking any part in games where safety is not a prime cooncern I do regret this happening for the sake of the sport itself but I could carel ess what happens to a moron who finds his way onto a field.

Nah, I was just saying, that I would NEVER be on a field where I KNEW some (idiot) guy was un-protected. I don't know how well I'd cope being responsible for blinding someone while playing a game. I understand fully that it's his eyeball, but I as a player on the field would be negligent if I pulled the trigger on him.

Basically, it's a game. There will be more. If someone is being ghay, then go home and play countersrike.

There is a BIG difference between being hard, and being stupid. Being stupid gets you and your people killed in the real world.

Something I learned in a far off distant land.....

Bravery is not "Not being afraid".....
Bravery is being scared but not letting it control you

I always heard it as, "Bravery is doing something that scares you." Same thing basically.
