If you're going to go to war against a major enemy, go; knock the hell out of him fast, and go in there to kill him and get it over with.

I realize it's in the rules TOP; it just seemed to me that some people might not have read them. But thank you Nic and TOP for mentioning it.

The rules you are citing are rules for gameplay what they are not are rules for games where there is overnight camping.

because if they were allot of you would be in violation because in the rule it states no consuming alcohol before games.

It should be up to the event host to post their own rules in occurdence of the law.

There is a difference between AP, site and host rules vs State and Federal laws.
AP rules will be always be over ruled when illegal acts come into play. At which time State and Federal laws step up. If it is illegal in the real world it is illegal in Airsoft.

If you want to do illegal drugs. If you want to drink and you are a minor stay way and don't come.

Illegal acts such as the above will kill this sport dead and will be feeding bed for those who don't like what we do.

Have been through this in my other hobbies(Reenacting). Where we actually have professional law enforcement on site.
We have had MIP's violations/convictions along with Adults who have been convicted of delinquency of a minor, in that world. Those who were involved where booted.
If alcohol/controlled are around minors the temptation is to great. I say, it is not worth it. The effects are to great, we can loose sites and insurance over this issue.

So you're saying that if we have alcohol the night before an event, we should exclude those under 21 from camping? As that's the only time I know of alcohol at events in the last few years.

that would be a little harsh. i think a better way to go about this is to have one person hand out the beer and to get one you must show your I.D.
that way it is a bit more controled.
and if we have a problem with some one sneaking it in or what not then we just ban them from coming.
cuse personaly, i had a blast camping on saturday, but i have a year and a half left till i can participate in the drinking.

if you are going to have a over night camp out before the game, there should be a roped off area, the "beer garden", and ID must be shown upon entry. period. ( that means only the people who are old enuff get to hear the cool fire side monkey stories and other funtimes)

as for the on site smoking, well there should be a game admin camping over night, walking the perimiter, knowing what the shazaam is going on, and controling thier shit.

if your event is going to have a camp out, then stya and camp out and police your shit. ( Bill, you like to run home to a comfy warm bed far too much at your events where there is camping out, time to suffer BEEEEYOTCH!) or you have very litte room to complain about the infractions infringed upon your hide.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

Dude at a Civil War reenactment we had a group of kids sneak into a tied tent and steal beer out of a cooler. The temptation is there, we are at risk. Not saying all minors are a risk. Just nip it in the butt now pre-21's.
There are two options:
1) Make it a dry(no alcohol) event, allow minors to camp
2) Make it a wet event no one under the age of 21.

If you really need some spirits to have fun at a event. You need help.

Also, doesn't splat action have a rule about drinking on their property?
