No.

AEGs, especially upgraded AEGs can go through them. If anybody else doesn't think so, fine get your eyes shot out for all I care. Plus nobody wants to see some red friggin goggles on the field. It's just the same as wearing sandals while playing...

Make sure safety glasses that you purchase meet ANSI Z87.1 ratings.

If you buy $15 shooting glasses from GI Joes, they will be ANSI Z87.1 rated and perfectly acceptable for airsoft uses.

ok well I got a paintball mask thats rated I think around 300fps paintball speed. Dunno if it would be ok or not. I know at point blank it would most likely break?

No it wont, weve done that with paintballs and they dont. Unless its the worst mask out there :)

If it's rated at 300fps with paintballs, you're okay. Airsoft BBs have a much less energy behind them then paintballs do.

Paintball masks meet the ASTM standard, which is actually MORE strict than the ANSI Z87.1 standard. Any paintball mask will actually be safer than ANSI eyewear.
