Basicly, I'm looking at prescription goggles and the RecSpecs line (that was mentioned in another thread) seems like it might cover me well - but I'm curious about it's safety rating.
They meet/exceed the ASTM F803 requirements for racquetball, handball, tennis, basketball, squash, soccer and paddleball.
Now from my patheticly limited search on google, From what I can figure, the ASTM F803 RecSpecs should do nicely - but I'm concerned they won't hold up to airsoft hits - but when comparing ANSI Z87.1 - it seems like ASTM F803 should be more than enough for my needs (airsoft - while still being able to see propperly) - as ANSI Z87.1 appears to be a lesser level of protection - but I wanted to see if anyone had a better understanding of it than I did.
My choice, essentially, is either order up RX inserts for my T800 knock-offs, and potentially not have them ready in time for for Cypriot, or have some RecSpecs made up locally (while not as 'tactical' they do make some nice looking styles).
Don't say contacts.
