AP: "Sniper Shoot" Competition.

As the title suggests: Lets talk about it.

I'm setting up a full competition event for you "snipers", "counter-snipers", "DMs", and "Scouts".

Pending APL full approval it will be an open velocity airsoft replica class. The ceiling will be determined after the board either rejects or accepts my submission for the increased velocities for AEG and Bolt alike to an even and matched velocity for this single event. In no way will the increased velocities be allowed at normal APL or AP run events. This would be a special one time provision that will be granted permission per event.

This competition will emcompass your shooting fieldcraft skills (movement, camoflauge technique, and OP choice) as well as your ability to put rounds down range and on target.

-Depending on interest, this will be a single day event with 3 stalks on the day. Two hours per stalk seems reasonable at this time.
We will adjust accordingly if time is an issue.
You as a shooter will be busy all day.

-Single Operator event. Only you can blame yourself for getting spotted of failing. This gives everyone an equal opportunity to take out the bad guy and show off!

-There will be no human targets: You will be shooting paper silhouettes, and scored from your two shots down range. So, that would mean, make them count.

-There will be one observer with unaided vision and at least one range officer (walker) in the field. If you are seen by the observer, you will stand and restart your mission profile. You will have lost nothing but points.

-There will be a specific protocol to be followed prior to taking your shots. You will call in prior to your first shot. You will then be given the go ahead. The shot will be scored and you will then be given your clearance for the second shot. If you are discovered on either shot, you will be penalized points for being spotted, but you be allowed to complete your rounds.

-You will stand in place and be scored on the distance to target, as well as the shot placement. Bonuses will be awarded for well placed or close range shots. (excellent shooting and excellent fieldcraft)

-This is an open competition. A 400fps replica has just as good a shot to win as the upgraded bolts.

-Ghillie suits and personal camoflauge are optional. If you can do it with and orange vest on, by all means go ahead.

So, let me know if this is something you would be interested in participating in. Nothing like competition to put your money with your mouth is. This should be a great experience for all that participate.

Climber, this isn't about that. This is about the applying fieldcraft.

Anyone can enter. A 400fps AEG can take the win. It is about skill.

I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

Im going to admin and score the event Ben. This has a solid potencial with the scoring criteria I have came up with. Should be very balanced for any player wanting to enter the competition.

I'm quite interested. Coincidently, is anyone planning on having another scout/sniper training event?

This will be a great opportunity to catch a glimpse of what some of our serivcemen do. It will also be a great opportunity to learn as well as construct your own ghillie suit.

I want to come so badly. I need to get in some range time with my rifle first though.

This is a great idea. How much would this cost?
