US BACKGROUND
48 hours ago, two UAVs were shot down over Trekistan s southern border. Recent satellite imagery shows massive build up along the border region indicating a possible invasion plan on Kyrgystan. One Grid sector has gone black for over 4 weeks and a group of operatives were sent into the area on a "fact finding" mission 36 hours ago. They were sent to "destabilize" the Treki forces command structure but ran into several private mercenary groups and took heavy injuries and 1 fatality and are now holed up in a defensive position awaiting a exflitration.
This morning at 0430 2 US Chinook helicopters lifted off in the pre-dawn cold on a rescue mission. While attempting to deposit a team for reconnaissance a Chinook takes fire. The Treki have setup heavy anti-aircraft defensive positions in key locations in the region. Due to high mineral content in the surrounding mountains, extremely dense triple canopy, excellent concealment and a series of underground facilities and tunnel systems - accurate imagery and intel of the area is difficult to obtain.
The Chinook is shot down after oil and hydraulic lines are damaged in the attack, forcing the team to exit the chopper. The chopper crashes a few miles away. All team members survive the exit but the CRL-M220 Laptop was left in the Chinook and contains extremely sensitive information and must be destroyed in place if it cannot be recovered. Your group is low on supplies and ammo as none of your resupply made
it off the chopper. You are limited to what you can carry.
HELO TEAM ALPHA - Has two main objectives: Rescue US Soldiers stranded on an island and recover a laptop that was lost in the Chinook crash.
The 2nd Chinook faired much better as it did not venture inside the Treki AAA perimeter and was able to get it's crew out intact and fully supplied. Now the units main objective is to locate and take out the defensive grid AAA and find and secure the lost UAVs. Intel on last know position will be supplied to you but exact location cannot be determined. The best imagery we have of the area is from over 4 weeks ago and is low res at best. Because of recent build up in the area it is expected that there will be more civilian presence then previously anticipated. ALL UNITS MUST AVOID ALL
CONTACT WITH CIVILIANS IN THE AREA.
HELO TEAM BRAVO - Has two main objectives: Take out AA Emplacements in the area and locate downed UAVs.
Enemy includes indigenous rebel forces uniformed in Spinter and Tigerstripe camo. There are also private contractors wearing Woodland and DPM camo. Both groups are equipped with mostly small arms. Their morale is considered to be high and they have varied levels of tactical effectiveness.
TREKISTAN BACKGROUND
Your group woke up this morning to the news that an enemy US Helicopter has crashed landed in your defense sector. You have been attempting to capture a group of US units who have taken up defensive positions on a small island. Two days ago your AA emplacements in the area took down two low flying UAVs. While attempting to recover them, your group met with a small group of Special Force types and were able to make them withdraw to a small island in the area. There is a secret weapons development facility located under the island which has been limiting your offensive options because
of concern of damaging the base.
Your main objectives are to find and recover the UAVs that were shot down in the area 2 days ago, find, recover intel and destroy in place the downed Chinook helicopter, and kill or capture Ranger units in the AO.
