August 2013: The communist threat has been eliminated from the Americas. Korea retreating to lick their wounds, has been all but eliminated from the map. Their army, navy, air force, and allies have suffered a huge loss. No one had expected the rebel forces to hit them as hard as they did. Still there is the matter of picking up the pieces and putting them back together, as America is now a war torn country. WWIII is now over but in its current state America is struggling to stay a super power. All her allies have refused to lend any aid for fear that they may be targeted for the next terror campaign. The country has been divided into to factions, East and West, The West still has a bitter taste in its mouth about how the events in the last war unfolded.
During the war the East refused to send troops to aid the west against the Red Army. This forced the populace to take up arms and also hire military contractors to help with the fighting. Further more The East refused to send the Red Cross to aid with rebuilding of the West Coast. They claimed that the East Coast was in worse condition and they couldn't fund the rebuilding of both sides.
The West had done most of the fighting during the last war. With the help of companies like EAD, 11th hour security, Titan corp., and Pegasus strategies, they were able to avoid learning a new language. When the East refused to send troops and refused aid after the war, The West was furious. The people demanded that something be done.
Nothing has been done to aid the West since the demand and seizing the opportunity the PMCs rallied the civilians and pooled resources to attempt to overthrow the government and gain control of the country. Hearing about this plan to overthrow the government The East has been gearing up and has drawn a line in the proverbial sand. The West has no intention about this line and intends to march right over it and gain control of Washington and throw out all the corrupt eastern politicians and fix the country.
