Operation: Black List

Postby Sir Stubby Eyre » Mon Mar 05, 2012 7:20 am

I am Reposting this for GLA, any questions should be directed to them.

Event Description:

When: March 17th
Where: Camp R&R
Cost: 15$ (optional 5$ BBQ)

Come join us for a great day of airsoft at one of the best Airsoft fields in Oregon at Camp RandR! This event is like no other with a unique and realistic type of gameplay. One side will have to protect a couple objectives while also trying to take several objectives, and the other team will have to try to retreive the objectives that the other team is trying to protect while protecting their objectives as well. This event's story takes place during the cold war in the 60's but there is no gun restrictions besides the FPS. It sure to make your St.Patricks day a day you will never forget.

**Waiver:Camp R&R Waiver

After an American U-2 spy plane was shot down over Russian airspace during the cold war in 1960 the Russians planned to respond by stealing the design of the U-2 by infiltrating deep into the C.I.A. headquarters in Langley, Virginia. 5 Russian KGB agents were eventually executed after being caught and the plan was terminated by the Russian government shortly after.
4 years later a nuclear test in a secret Soviet base in Balaklava in the Crimea, Ukraine revealed a new kind of bomb called N-32. This bomb could dispatch an explosion powerful enough to destroy a small city but was small enough to fit inside a large suitcase. With this new weapon the KGB began planning on to destroy the base in which the U-2 had been designed and created from. If the Russians couldn’t have the design to make their own then their enemy couldn’t have it either. Russian Intel from a Satellite revealed that the base that created the U-2 spy plane was in Death Valley, California
The Russian government approved of the KGB plan of destroying the airbase and supplied them with a group of elite Spetsnaz troopers. The plan was to have the Spetsnaz and two KGB agents, equipped with the N-32 bomb, meet a small group of Cuban militants in Venezuela. The Cubans would then guide the force through Central America using their language skills and their appearance as locals. They would guide the Russians all the way to San Bernardino, California. The Cubans will then travel back to Cuba and the Russians would do the rest.
1 week before the plan was executed, a double agent that was posted in Cuba during the American invasion known as the “Bay of Pigs” revealed the plot to the C.I.A. The C.I.A. worked quickly and gathered a small group of elite U.S. Special forces to intercept the Russians and the Cubans in Venezuela. Their objective is to retrieve and disarm the bomb before the Russians and Cubans have time to cross the border into Columbia.

Go to the GLA website to register . We have a team roster on our home page.

So you noticed, the original post was done wrong so there was no thread for comments such as this one. GLA needs to remove the original event posting on the calendar, it was posted wrong.
