Mission Briefing:
Year: 2035 AD
During the final battles of WWIII, 80 percent of the habitable surface of the world had been badly damaged by the carnage of war. All that remained were the memories of a once great past. The sovereign states of the early 21st century had crumbled and been replaced by small pockets of loosely allied factions. Of all of the sovereign nations before the war, only the People’s Republic of China (PRC) managed to stay somewhat united as a nation. When the toll became so great that there was a lull in the fighting, China approached all of the bands of rag-tag Militias and proposed a cease-fire to begin talks of the world reuniting. However, the Chinese knew that if all could not agree to end the killing, that the world would simply implode on itself and fall back in to war once more. The loose federations of the world agreed to the cease-fire and had begun reorganization of the world in order to preserve life and to continue the restart the progress lost in decades of battle. Only one faction did not share the desire for peace: Shadow Faction.

Shadow Faction had gained momentum in recent years and had won many battles. As such, SF had become powerful and would certainly not relinquish its power to others. SF knew that if the still united China decided to end the conflict personally, they could not resist the might of the PRC. However, SF’s intelligence had discovered that a company had sought refuge within the PRC’s borders when the war started and, unhindered by the War, had continued to develop technology at an alarming rate.

Advanced Robotics and Cybernetics Systems (ARC Systems), had made a deal with the PRC to share their technological advances in exchange for sanctuary and freedom.
SF had also learned of a new technology developed by ARC Systems called the ARC Angel Project. The only problem for SF was they didn’t know specifically what the new technology was other than that it was combat droid based and nanotechnology outfitted. Shadow Force made plans to strike ARC Systems’ headquarters in the remote town Wuhai, China, however, SF was not alone.

In the birth of the newly formed Global Union, a bureau was formed to quell uprisings, quarrels and obliterate potentially warring sub-states in order to keep another war of this magnitude from happening. They were called the Federal Anti-War Group (FAWG). A team of elite FAWG operatives were sent to retrieve the technology and eliminate any hostiles in the situation.

Both groups got wind of the other and a race to obtain the technology ensued…
