Nov. 18th (WED.) Build Day @CAGE!

Postby PDX CAGE » Sun Nov 15, 2009 10:46 pm

This Wednesday, at CAGE (9348 N. Peninsular, Portland OR), starting at 0700, until 2200, PDX CAGE is having a build day!

We've moved the building materials into what will become the new range, and setting up 3 separate jigs. If you have any woodworking or construction experience, we're building wall panels to be semi-modular, then bolting them into the ground and walls, with supporting beams and double paneling them with 4x8's.

We'll be here bright and early at 0700, so come on down!

Remember, for every two hours of work you complete, you get a free week of play at PDX CAGE. For every 8 hours of work you get a full month of play, or one team training session at CAGE!

Thanks for coming, guys!

We've put the materials into a separate room, so we're not worried about open play starting at 3pm and having to begin clean up at 2pm.

We'll set up a work party in a large room near the kill house, maybe put some music on, and have a good day of it. Tonka will grab one other guy and start putting the walls in with a roto-hammer, and hopefully we'll get a few more buildings in by open play so people can have a city battle!

Remember, we start at 7am, but you can come whenever you're free.

After this build day, we'll keep all the materials and kit set up so that anybody can come in whenever we're open, and push out some wall panels, so that when we have another build day, we don't need to build more panels, just find out where they go and have ten new buildings put up.

Be sure to log your work hours with either CAGE or AONW staff, so that we know how much free play to give you. You don't have to use your free play now, and you can give it to someone else if you're working quite a bit and can't possibly use all of the free time.

you should post these in the events calendar. I'll see if I make it down after school. Would like you like me to bring my own tools? if so what will I need?

Those electric screw drivers, for the panels, we have a saw or two for cutting the 2x4's into appropriate sizes.

Basically screw drivers to put the walls together.

Postby Implant » Tue Nov 17, 2009 7:25 pm

I'll bring my AEDD (Automatic Electric Drill Driver) putting out approx 10 SPM (Screws Per Minute). Those panels are totally screwed!

P.S. Can I drive Tardius137 and EuTardus around in the little bus again?
