WHAT: Airsoft Combat Training
WHERE: Gig Harbor Area, WA
WHEN: 1000 - 1600 15 FEB SUNDAY
COST: $30 Equipped / $20 Self-Equipped ($5 Military/ROTC/Recruit discount)
FORUMS: http://www.battlesim.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=238

ACTS is a course designed to teach basic combat skills including individual movement techniques, patrolling, communications and teamwork.

Teamwork

While knowing the skills of the Light Infantry man will help you achieve your objectives, the real difference is teamwork. ACTS offers you the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals who are focused on learning and practicing the skills needed to be an effective team.

Leadership

The world needs more effective leaders and ACTS provides a place to step up and lead a group to complete your objectives. Leaders are rotated through out the course so that everyone has the chance to lead and be lead.

Communication

Today’s hectic world demands that communication is clear, precise and fast. Nothing teaches communication better then realistic practice situations that demand split second decisions amidst chaotic conditions.

What can I learn?

ACTS covers basic Tactics, Techniques and Procedures including:

Duties of the Light Infantryman
Camouflage
Individual Movement Techniques
Reports and Communications
Small Unit Movement
Re-act to Contact
Small Unit Drills and Practice Skirmishes
Skills of the Light Infantr y man

Do I need an airsoft gun?

No. We supply all the ammo and the training weapons. All you need to do is supply gear if you are self-equipped. We suggest you bring a pair of good fitting military style boots as we will be doing a lot of moving through varied terrain.

How much is it?

$20—Self-equipped (weapon included)
$30—Equipped (weapon plus gear)

WE PROVIDE ALL AMMO AND WEAPONS. DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN AIRSOFT REPLICAS.

In order to focus on training and not on airsoft "superiority" we will be issuing all equipment needed to come to this training event. This will ensure that everyone has the same weapons with the same capacities and the same functionality.

We use a crawl, walk, run format. More then 50% of the course is active patrolling and mission based objectives. This is not a "sit around and listen" event. You will actively use the skills that we are teaching in a realisitic environment.

CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED!! We will only be accepting 2 squads (18 total) participants for this session.

I am sure that people will ask if we are qualified to teach this course and who are instructors are and what experience they have had. For those who have been doing airsoft for a while, I believe they will know the name Battlesim and our dedication to high quality events and training. Depending on the class size (and deployment schedules) we have an instructor pool of current and former US Army Rangers, retired NCOs and active duty military. In additon, we have airsoft instructors who have been active in the airsoft community for 5+ years who will be able to cut out the things that are not needed in light of the use of the instruction. This will not be "boot camp" for airsoft. We have run dozens of training events over the last 5 years and have produced quality players, leaders and real life military.

As an example of our instruction Team Battlesim placed 5th in BSP latest event. While this might not sound like an accomplishment - our team had the smallest stack (6) and the first time 4 of the members meet was the Friday night (7PM) before the event. One of the stack had never fired or even seen an airsoft replica (or real firearm) until Saturday. We took three hours to train the new individuals and were able to place above one of the teams that placed above us us last year and were 1.5 points behind the other team that placed first last year. This is the experience and level of training we will be able to provide to you. We will guarantee that you will learn skills that will improve your level of play, your level of communication and your ability to work as a team. If we can place above teams who have been working together for years with only 3 hours of training - imagine what we will be able to provide for you.

Thanks! Training helps everyone. It's much easier to control events when people know the proper communications and have a focus on teamwork!

Your best bet would to go onto THEIR forums to get that information. I highly doubt hellmutt has the time the day before his event to check the another airsoft forum.
