I think another way to say what Morgan was getting at might be this... I had a good time at the skrim on Saturday but I wouldn't have been willing to pay $15 for it. There was too much variation in weapons. For example a few pistols vs. everyone else with AEGs, 2000 round box mag vs. 20 round sniper mag, etc. Yes the examples I mentioned the underdog happened to win but I'm just trying to make a point. We were just winging it on what games to play and that's cool but people aren't going to pay for wing'n it.
You need to be extremely organized: If you have no respawns then put a time limit on the game, and have the next situation/skim ready to go after the game, 5 min to reload then go... people don't like to play a 20 min game then wait 20 min for the next one.
Weapons need to be standardized: If one team wins it should be because they had better tactics and/or were better shots than the other team. Now this isn't a slam at the guy who had the M4 and 2000 round box magazine but for any sort of milsim people need to have the same number of rounds in their magazines to keep it fair. Be VERY upfront about what weapons are allowed and what size of magazines are allowed.
Objectives: Try to come up with some fun and interesting objectives. Keep it simple though, if you try to get too fancy it never works
I'm not claiming to be an sort of expert on how to host a game, these suggestions are simply my ideas that I feel would result in a successful airsoft event. These ideas are meant as constructive criticism and are in no way meant to offend or put down you or your field. Because I like you, I enjoyed our conversations and I like the field
