Operation Lost Lamb

Postby grayghost » Fri Sep 09, 2005 11:11 pm

Operation Lost Lamb will run down on October 9th We will start Registration at around 8:30-9:00ish. We are planning to start the game at 10:00 a.m. It is about 10 mins out side of Redding. We are expection well over 100 people if everyone shows up. It will consist of 3 scenario games. The story goes something like this...

The U.S. had a small recon group out in Rebel territory doing some basic recon. They were to be completely invisible. Unbeknown-st to them, there was a rally of Rebel troops coming in. To make it worse, word of their existence was made known to local Rebels and now they were looking for them. So, the U.S. is sending a group of soldiers in to get in, and get the recon group out. If they encounter heavy resistance, they are allowed to engage.

That i suppose, is the basis if this event. First Game will consist of a small group of already chosen elites that are to remain hidden. They are NOT to engage unless engaged. In that instance, they only have one clip (NOT high cap) to stay alive. If they are shot, as you probably already guessed, they are "wounded". Wounded soldiers will be able to walk, but will be as if one leg was wounded. They will also NOT be able to shoot. (These "elites" have been briefed and are trusted and will NOT cheat in any way)
The Rebel Job is to find the elites and get them back to their base for interrogation. The U.S. forces as you can probably guess have to get to the hidden troops before the Rebels do. Depending on how this scenario turns out it will effect on how the next game goes.

If the Rebels do NOT find and interrogate the recon force, they will have to find the U.S. camp and try to kill them all.

On the case they get at least one hostage, the Rebel forces will find out that there is an old military base nearby with warheads still in it. The Rebel forces will know one of three locations where the base is at.

On the case they get at least two hostages, the Rebel forces will know the exact where abouts of the base.

The U.S. forces in either case, must go to the old base and retrieve the old "warhead" and return it to their base.

The last game is an all out attack and defend.

After the games are over, there will be raffle prizes.

There should be a break between the the first and second games.

Pre-registration will be $10 and Un-registrated is $15.

And lastly, we are really depending on you to bring as many people as you can. As you know, the more the merrier. WE WILL NOT TURN ANYONE AWAY!

Safety wise, all under 18 MUST wear full face mask's. Any other players are advised too but it is not mandatory. We will NOT require bio-degradable ammo. We may or may not chrono guns but we ask that the general field rules apply which are:

400 F.P.S. for AEG's (+/- 10 fps)
550 F.P.S. for Sniper Rifle's (NO AUTO FEATURE'S)

Min. Engagement rules are as follows.

25 ft for AEG's
75 ft for Sniper's
25 ft for full auto pistols.

The surrender rule will apply.

THIS IS ONE SHOT ONE KILL!!!!

The rules for Regeneration will be announced at the event.

I can assure anyone that we will make sure that the regen rules will be ez to follow and fair. You will NOT be out for a large portion of the game if you get hit as that defeats the purpose of you being there.

Food and drinks will be there for additional costs.

The field is 30+ acres with many trees bushes and hills. We will have structures for the bases. This field is a GREAT airsoft field.

When people are pre-registering, have them do two things.

1)E-mail me at ozonetaco@yahoo.com with their name, phone number, and *preferable team side.

*Not everyone will be able to be on the team they may choose, but they are encouraged to pick a preferable team.

2)If it is a "team" have all of them sign up individually and then an e-mail telling that they are all together. I will not attempt to break teams up, given they are not to big.

3)Not at this time but let all Pre-registries know that around 2-3 weeks ahead of the shoot we will call with an address so they can send cash or check to an address with checks made out to :
Tactical Airsoft Gaming

4)You can let everyone know if you want that this is NOT, NOT, NOT a profitable endeavor for us. We only ask a small amout to try to compensate for the costs of the structures and renting the land.

5)We need anyone and everyone to come ;)

IMPORTANT!
Dress code is as follows.

You will be allowed to wear ANY, ANY ANY cammo you want. We will separate the teams by something as follows.

We will have 1 Dollar DEPOSITS for red bandana's for the Rebel's. And when the Bandana's are returned, so is there Dollar. Bandana MUST be worn on head. (at least at this point in time)

I think that about sum's it up. If you have any comments or suggestions, e-mail me. We WILL have ref's there. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your help. I truley believe that without you and your help, this game would NOT be possible. Thanks again and take care! If anyone has any question left, e-mail me @ ozonetaco@yahoo.com . In any case, the first part of your registration involves e-mailing me anyways. Thank you all very much and i hope to see you all there!

One Problem... Red bandanas are the universal symbol for "im dead, dont shoot me"

With a large op, you need to be able to identify the enemy a little more clearly, because you arent going know everyone on your team.

Some color variation in the camo has always been the most usefull way to seperate teams.

camo vs all black
camo vs od
woodland vs desert
woodland vs any other kind of camo

Just a suggestion.

Hmm, i will have to take that into consideration.

What i wanted to get away from is the camo teams. Not everyone has different colored camo, and i don't know if it is entirely fair to make someone wear something other than the camo they would prefere. We will NOT be using the red bandana's to signify if someone has been shot so we were hoping it would NOT be confusing. Any other suggestions?

Hmmm, You know From now on I am not going to use octogonal Red Signes to indicate that i need to stop.

Hope that works out as well as trying to change carved in stone Airsoft safety rules...

Sounds fun, I'm in, if it's not to far away. I can't find it either.

My birthday is on the 6th, so I expect to not be shot at.

Aaron, are you gonna buy that USP? And I still feel bad about shooting you that close.
