UPDATE: Command Position filled.
The following position has been filled. If you are interested in a command or control position, please email
hellmutt@battlesim.com immediately.
US ARMY PSG FILLED - PSG JollyRoger -
SSG Richard "Jolly Roger" Lakely from EAFT will be filling the role of Platoon Sergeant. As an active duty SSG stationed at Ft. Lewis (
HHT 1/2 CR - S-4 NCOIC - Ft. Lewis, WA) he is more then qualified to exceed all expectations of the position. His experience and demeanor will add an enormous amount of realism and professionalism to the event. I have been to two airsoft events with JollyRoger in the last year and he is an outstanding individual in addition to being a highly effective unit leader. I am proud to have him aboard as OP: KP 24's US Army PSG. Congratulations Rick and thanks for your contribution! All you Evergreen players who will be playing US Army, you have an outstanding leader on your side and he will be a tremendous asset against the opposing forces.
UPDATE: IN depth details coming on Monday.
Mission briefing, rules and details to be posted Monday night. The new larger field will be in play this weekend at Evergreen. Stevo and I spoke at length this afternoon about planning details (camping, porta-potties, etc) and after this weekend multiple details will be ironed out.
UPDATE: Minimum fee will be charged for the operation.
In order to help offset costs for event needs (such as porta potties and other legally required items) we will be asking for a $5 fee for which you will get an "event package" with some operation memorabilia. We are looking at renting/reserving some land for camping and this fee will cover camping fees as well. This is not a field fee or event fee it is a package fee and possible camping fee for which you will receive goods. We are still suggesting a $25 donation and those who pre-pay the full donation before Aug 25 will receive a OP: KP24 patch on game day in addition to extra raffle tickets for the prizes.
For those who really cannot afford the event fee, we will have a "barter" system in place. We will have various duties that will need to be done on a shift basis and those who cannot afford the fee will be able to sign up for a "work shift" to offset the package fee. You will not get an event package but this is a way for those younger players to save up for AEGs! An example work shift will be a 1-2 hour watch at the camp site during the operation or a 1-2 hour shift bringing supplies to way points. . .
UPDATE: Support needed. Yeah you!
We hope that those in the community who wish to support larger operations such as this on a more regular basis will be able to donate to the cause. The Evergreen Airsoft Club has done an outstanding job setting standards based on the voice of the community and they have been able to help legitimize airsoft in Washington. It is my hope that we can bond together to create a truly great event and I need as much support and help as I can get.
If you want to do something for the event, let me know ASAP. It won't be a great event without the help of those in the community. With 12 hours of game time, if you can help out for an hour - that will make it that much better for everyone!
I am going to have some "special" roles for the event and I need role players. If you are interested in a role, let me know. These are the details that make a great event!
