Ya I enjoyed the game a lot. Rain can't stop the fun as usual.
Highlights:
-Getting sniped by Max while standing in the perfectly silent woods. I was just thinking it was like Bambi-level quiet when suddenly THWACK! Max, thank you for targeting chest and not face.
-Running an end around on Renegade's checkpoint and killing some of his cronies. Although we didn't take the checkpoint at one point I was in yer checkpoint, killing yer doodz.
-Actually finding Braddock once. We were just patrolling when suddenly one of our guys yells hit for no reason. Me and Mike (forget yer AP tag) investigate and we get him but I am sure it was only because there were two of us.
Lowlights:
-Woodland team members who hang in the spawn. If I came back to my spawn and there were less than 6 people in it, I was happy. Unfortunately I was usually not happy coming back to spawn. It begins to answer the age-old paradox. How many people does it take to reload one person's mags? The answer is more than one as there have to be 2-3 sitting around talking to him at the same time.
-Woodland people congregating to have socials on the field. I must have asked on 10 separate occasions if people were playing as there were 5-6 of them standing chewing cud literally within 50 feet of team members taking enemy fire.
-At one point when our spawn was getting camped I was within 10 feet of the spawn returning fire while simultaneously PLEADING with people to spawn to no avail.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to define what the sport should be to you. If your idea of fun is getting all dressed up and equipped to look cool while chatting with your buddies, more power to you. However the assumption when we divide the teams is that you're here to play.
I guess it's kinda known tho as Marpat didn't even want us OD folks and kicked us to the other side despite superior numbers. At first I just thought it was my destiny to shoot APST. Now I understand it better.
Great game. What I loved about this game was its simplicity. Sector, two teams, go. It made it more about the tactics on the field and less about catering tactics to the scenario. I enjoyed the game a lot, da plastic killing keeps me sane. Thx to all that came out and especially to the woodland team who were there to play.
