If you're going to go to war against a major enemy, go; knock the hell out of him fast, and go in there to kill him and get it over with.

Hey Seagreen, Players -

Thompson and I had an awesome time! Not everything was perfect folks, but admit it...this was an epic game! Thanks to you all, admin, NATO forces and New Axis OPFOR.

CBeren - Yeah, you guys just kept showing up uninvited! It was Great trying to root you and your buddy out of the Axis Comm Array area - we were the "Sentries" you engaged there. Thank You too for playing with honor - that was a memorable engagement. Thompson flanked while I was distracting you..you advanced past Thompson, then our sniper popped your spotter, Thompson then sprayed your Sniper...

Axis!, We had a great time rebuildling that comm array with you, and then holding it for the next four hours (with 3-5 players) against multiple NATO attacks.

Helo - evidently our taunts against the NATO force across the creek worked...they bypasses our undermanned position entirely. We later "RAINED on THEM" from near the Comm Array as they approached the Axis CP from the Creek. Great fun.

Fragistan, Cap N Pickles and Good Will - I really appreciate your good attitudes.

Thompson - you and the other Scouts rocked...(Thompson with a Kill ratio at least 4:1)

Ghosts, Chesty, Bildo, Ragtag and all Woodland Players!...For anarchists we do pretty good...thanks to all of us - especially for not whining excessively after the game. Woodland has a Proud OPFOR history - Keep Up the Great Work. Focus on Fun and new Lands, new Skills, new Friends!

Finally, to ALL of the Whining Bloggers re: GOATS and Team/Player EGOs. Put a Tampon in it. Take a Midol. Get a Life.

The best part of the taunting across the creek is that my spotter and I were about 20ft down the hill on your side of the creek sneaking around you guys. We had no idea you were there until you started yelling at them. It was priceless

Kinda brings a shiver up the spine when I think about how close we were to you guys!

To Brock Vond...sometimes can't remember my own name, and am embarrassed to say I couldn't recall yours at the end of the day! Reading your account of the orchard engagement, it's nice to put a name with the face...it was one of the high points of our day...even though we died! You guys provided a real challenge to us, and conducted yourselves in a sportsmanlike fashion...thanks for a great engagement! I look forward to the next one, as friend or foe!

To Seagreen and your band of merry men: Thank You! A truly enjoyable day of AS in the beautiful Pacific Northwest...I, for one, liked the rain! I look forward to more BSP events!

BTW pictures are up here: http://s620.photobucket.com/albums/tt28 ... upply/CE4/

Not fred quality and not a ton of them taken but hey I was driving half of the time.

I saw some of those being passed around and I wondered if they had purchased them...I figured they must have, so I didn't say anything. Really sorry about that, that is TOTAL BS.

Thanks for the pictures, too. You got a bunch of good stuff considering all of the other things you were doing.

[quote="Reaper II"]CEIV was overall a good game, if the weather had been better then more people would have stayed and the end game would not have turned out the same way(also all those people including myself wouldn't need to get pulled outta the mud by a tractor...)

You think the end wouldn't have been the same with good weather? NATO had the exact same problems with people leaving as well. I would even say that the numbers were probably pretty close on both sides.

Blaming the weather is a pretty lame thing to whine about. Funny story, but the NATO forces weren't coated in Rain-X. We were just as wet and muddy as you were. You live in the Pacific NW. It rains here. And, shazaam, Sunday wasn't even that wet; I've played when it was much more rainy.

The fact that 1/3 of your guys walked off the field because of a little drizzle is an embarrassing testament to their dedication. In other words, the Axis loss falls squarely on the shoulders of its members, not on the weather.

On the other hand, it doesn't really matter who "won." No one gets a prize for winning. There's no trophy, bragging rights, or any form of recognition at all for winning most OPs (including this one). It's really not worth making excuses over or gloating about.

Play the game, have fun while you do it. That's all that needs to happen.

Oh, there are always bragging rights in a general way...but, it should ALWAYS be kept in a joking positive light.

Airsoft should be about as serious as playing checkers as to who wins or loses.

The weather was irrelevant. Axis lost because of poor co-ordination, poor discipline and insufficient dedication from those that quit the field.
Ultimately, victory requires no explanation and defeat allows now explanation.
