Alright, we've got the SPECDET1 waiver fixed and working. It's encouraging to read all the PM's regarding wanting to print out the waiver and have it ready when you show up. We highly encourage that. Click the link below to be taken to our waiver! The link in the main post will also be updated and will be working.

We are 3.5 days out from the start of SS:IV. This post will have some vital information regarding showing up, registering, parking, camping, swap meet, and chrono. Please read through this. There will be a diagram at the end to help illustrate the points I'm making.

Registration: When you show up, you will proceed down the driveway to registration. Registration will take place from your vehicles. At registration, we will collect admission fees and waivers, and issue wrist bands, raffle tickets, and a free item from one of our sponsors.

*Raffle ticket: Please put your full name on one half of the raffle tickets you are given. We will collect this at chrono.

Parking: After you register, you will proceed down the path to the parking area. We will have people directing parking. Please follow their directions so we can fit as many vehicles in the parking area as possible.

Camping: Set up your campsite in the designated camping area. Remember that specific sections have specific quiet time hours. We want to be respectful of the property owners and try to keep the noise in the camping area down. There are no assigned camping spots, so first come first serve. Please try to leave pathways for people to walk between campsites.

Chrono: When you are ready, please bring ALL guns that need to be chronoed to the chrono station. All guns must be chronoed except green gas/propane powered pistols (CO2 guns MUST be chronoed). At chrono you will be asked to show 3 things: registration wrist band, approved eye protection, and your raffle ticket. We will collect your raffle ticket and process you through chrono. If your gun uses an M4 magazine, please go to the appropriate line. This will help expedite the process. Please bring an empty magazine for your weapon. Please make sure batteries are connected, and your gun functions. Chrono is one of the areas that bottlenecks very quickly. If you have chrono tags from previous events, please remove them. If you don't, we will.

Swap Meet: Feel free to set up your swap meet area whenever you want. Space is on a first come first serve basis. Special areas will be held for sponsors.

At this point, you are free to enjoy the event. There will be announcement periodically to keep you in the loop about what games are happening, when/where the raffle is, and other important things. If you have any questions, please seek out one of the Special Detachment Group 1 members. We will all be wearing our team shirts with our team name on them.

Food: SPECDET1 is not responsible for providing food or drink for you. That being said, HOBO BROTHERS BBQ will be onsite selling BBQ pulled pork sandwichs. You are responsible for paying for these. Please bring lots of water. It will be hot and sunny. The last thing we need is to send someone to the hospital for a heat emergency.

TRASH: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN TRASH. WE DO NOT NEED MORE TENTS, COOLERS, SLEEPING BAGS, EMPTY WATER BOTTLES. IF YOU GENERATE WASTE, YOU NEED TO REMOVE IT FROM THE FIELD.

If you have any questions, please PM this account. If you do not hear back within 12hrs, PM JESTER316. We try to answer your questions as quickly as we can, but remember that we also have jobs which take away some of our time.

We look forward to having everyone out, and having a great weekend.

My brother and I, along with a friend will be there preferably Friday and Saturday, if not Saturday at the least. Hopefully I'll have my stuff together (It's our first time at a large event like this :D .) Do we need to signup for a team somewhere?
I may not have the best gear, guns, or tactics, but I try my hardest.

Nope. Teams are setup before the games take place.

All you really need to play is eyepro, a gun, good boots/hiking shoes, water bottle and a good sporting attitude. Uniforms and kit are just extras.

Will snipers be allowed to use heavier, non-bio ammo? Also, will any .3-.4 ammo be sold at this event?

Yes, Bolt-action rifles are exempt from the bio-ammo-only restrictions.

Yes, if you use a bolt action rifle, you can use non-bio ammo. This is due to the low frequency of shooting, and the fact that many bolt actions shoot less than 30rds in the entire event.

Here is the official rule for heavy weight ammo:

f you are using a round in your bolt action rifle higher than a .32g bb because you can find bio ammo in weights of .32 or less than you are allowed to non-bio.

Case in point - .36g, .40g, .43g ammo are not commercially available in bio form just yet BUT they are coming. So those weights you can use in non-bio form.

.20g, .23g, .25g, .28g, .30g, .32g if a user is using any of these than they must shoot bio.

Please adhere to this rule.
