That's unfortunate. How many players did you have? I wonder how many it takes to get the whole field these days...

I had a good time and am sorry we did not stay for the 2nd half ... Sundays are hard days for airsofting. The "heads" were great and sorry we ended up dumping the water from the bomb ... but we could barely move that fracking thing much less carry it through the 10" of mud and slop it was carried down from the road. My feet did stay dry until the water and mud came up over the top of my boots :(

Nice job hosting by Mithril and Clownbaby ... regardless of the issues starting late and others, all out of your control, you pulled it together and put on a fun game.

We do need a few more bridges ... the 2 missing at Hobo and Starlog made it very difficult to approach Khe-san.

Looking forward to your next one .... wherever it may be held ;)

To be clear, the owner (John Vida) did not try and remove us from the field. One of his staff either didn't care or didn't know that there was a plan in place. This won't happen again.

We will start construction on four new bridges this month. Two of which will be strong enough to support large vehicles, eliminating the need to enter off the logging roads.

I'm gonna try very hard to get our games changed to Saturdays.
Stay tuned

Personally, Splat Action is a lot less of a drive coming from Ridgefield WA than most of the other fields.

I actually miss the field and I kind of want to play there again. The other fields we have available to us are so flat. Climbing that hill at the end of the day is definitely a phony pony, but the varied terrain is worth it. C'mon Morgan, I have footage of you enjoying games at Splat Action. Those were some good times!

It's odd that John is adding bridges when the county told him several years ago that he had to remove them all and also not build any two story structures and take any second story structures that currently exist down to one. It's what he had to do to keep his property open. This comes first hand from him although it was like 2010/2011 so maybe something changed but highly unlikely.

This is why the entrance was widened, new pro shop with ada improvements and a handicap bathroom. Parking lot areas paved.

But meh... SSDD

so i personally had a great time killin zack and then waiting for his "buddies" hahahaha. i think this is a great field but maybe we dont rely on the field owner for props, idk. also who needs bridges when we have feet. thats right, walk thru the river whoa what a concept. other than the missing vehicle and the change in game plans at the last minute i.e i wanted to attack all day. it was a blast got lots of kills with my new m14 and ditched the mp5 half way thru the day because of the distances. i again dont think theres anything wrong with the field, maybe a lack of actual airsofters is contributing to not having the same sway as the paintballers. idk but im sad to not see 40+ PLAYERS AT SPLAT ACTION. i need to slay more people than 10-15 on each side.

you are right. there was a golden age when that field was viewed as one of the best. but....after i realize how much money has gone through the gates and how little improvements has happened....and now hearing that abe got asked to leave so paintballers could play after he was told he had exclusive use.....that is why they can suck my balls, your balls, his balls and that donkey over there...yea his balls too.

i will come to any other game, anywhere else....hell i might even break the sabbath if the game is cool enough....so as i see splat action as the location... then i get bummed.

ill shoot at ya soon matt.

Judging by this, you are new.

When we had 300+ people at the field we had the same issues.
The owner is more concerned with another dollar than with deals he has made, he has no problems burning bridges which he has done and why so many are hesitant to attend games there.
Personally I am glad I didn't drive the 2 hours and spend $60 in gas plus field fee for the same old problems(completely excluding the game, as I am sure the game its self was good as everyone has mentioned).

They were still some of my favorite games, even if we did have to dodge a few paintballers we still dominated 90% of the field with our 300 and 400 player games. Let's also not forget how much of a pain in the a$$ our group was when we camped. To be fair, they really put up with a lot of our crap too.

These paintballer vs. airsoft problems happen at all paintball fields that are open on a regular basis with walk-ons. We had the same issues in Washington with Hole in the Wall Paintball way back in the day. You don't see it with SniperzDen because they're only open for special events, they don't have to turn away paying customers.
