First of all....the thank you's.
The friday night BBQ----good free food and sodas.....after being on the road for 3 hours...it was great to have something hot to eat.....thanks.
Game hosts, admins and the staffing who made the tyme to put the events together.
Then the chrono people...who made chronoing and safety checking pretty quick and painless process.
To the taliban forces......to the taliban guys at round one, stationed at starlog camp and village : great job !
(story told from the taliban side):
Our orders were to defend our worthless outpost as long as possible and take out as many of the Infidels as possible.
Make them pay.....pay in bb's.....in battery powered used......in the 'lives and medics-calls''.......to force them to earn the ground we stand on.........
Besides my own team ,TLO....and our friends....AAP....i am not sure who else was with us at Starlog and the village......but it was a pleasure working with you all.
While waiting for the game to start....we asked on channel 8 if there was an alot ments of radio channels we were assigned......we didn't get an answer, so we went with TLO home channel 13....AAP soon hooked up...and within a few monents we had a good amount of people checking in and giving reports.
Teams of snipers were digging in ...............a few squads were doing ramdom patrols..........My guys were station at points,....looking out for the enemy. Traps were set.
As far as i knew...things were as set as they were going to get.
Then....the fighting started.
Commucations worked and worked well.....but with so much action, there isn't hardly anything that can be done.
"I GOT FIGHTING!!!! EMENY SPOTED !! WE ARE BEING OVER RUNNED !!"
...wellll.......who wasn't??? LOL
The squads that were assigned to Starlog, fought and fought and fought until there was no more of us to fight off the appressing forces......but we did our job : May Allaha bless you in the afterlife.
----------------------------------------
In the whole day, i didn't even out a 1/3 of the field. I am sure that taliban all over the ''world'', had thier hands full in firefights.
My only real gripe, which seemed to grow into a bigger and bigger problem as the game went on, was the high amounts of firefights within distances of 20 feet.
I heard very few safety kills.
I even witness some dumbass, who was on the taliban side,..... lay his body down on the oppsite side of 2 of his dead taliban , and then he open fired on a emeny guy about 15 feet away.
The nato force guy returned fire......got me, thou i was already dead, and got the other two dead guys..who were being used as unwilling human shields, by the asshat.
The asshat finaly got shot, called hit...then got up and walked to base........then told some of the taliban re-enforcements " Becarefull, there is a guy over there, behind that tree'.
Meanwhile, The nato guy appolized to us for being shot. We said, no problem and admitted that the guy had no right shooting at the nato guy at that short of a range.
On that note: Mr.Asshat.....i wish i knew who you were......I would of radioed an admin to take care of the sistuation.
I will tell you this, Mr.asshat......next tyme....i'll have a viedo camera mounted on p90.....and i'll catch your dishonorible action on 'film', and bring it to the attention of the game hosts.
-------------------
On other notes....it was great seeing alot of 'the old teams'.......people that i have met from other events.
(""), =^oo^=
"You a photographer ??"
"...........No, I am a Combat Correspondent."
"Well, You seen much Combat ? "
