So, this is what I heard/saw.

Taliban could use a little more active leadership and organization. A small bit of Command and Control structure will go a long way. I'm sure we could have done a little better if we could direct the flood of eager cannon fodder towards the necessary combat.

Team organization has been mentioned, and I picked Taliban, and I had fun, so I'm not complaining. However, if you want an even OP, you're going to have to administratively organize the teams to some degree.

As for cheating, I only saw ONCE (mebbe twice...) where I thought I surely hit someone, and they didn't call it. However, each time, another burst settled the issue. I understand that adrenaline, speed of action, and fog of war can distract someone from the small 'twak' of a bb. I've seen blatant cheating in the past, but I really didn't notice any out there. Maybe that's just me.

All in all, I had a great time. I think Splat Action still has usefulness, but I would like to see some OPs elsewhere as well. Maybe hold the next one on BLM land or something. That would add some new terrain.

Thanks Zues, I know you put a lot of work in, get a lot of grief for it, and you don't like seeing anything go wrong any more than anyone else.

Teeth getting shot out happens. I've seen it happen at 40+ft with a stock gun.
That's why some people wear mouth guards(ie tool).
Like I always say, if you don't wnat your teeth shot, shut up ;)

I didn't get any kills that I know of. I dropped about 5 mags on someone in the tower not knowing they were dead because I could only see their left side and not their rag on their head. Shortly after that my battery died so I ran w/ a pistol for a while.
Second mission I dropped a lot of rounds into the smoke at the hobo village, but doubt I killed anyone. Again, battery died, so I ran around w/ a pistol again. After that I just grabbed dead and brought them back to the medic.

I had fun.
Though my body is telling me otherwise. Having my rifle slung over my right shoulder the majority of the time, along w/ a backpack has left quite an ache.

First of all....the thank you's.

The friday night BBQ----good free food and sodas.....after being on the road for 3 hours...it was great to have something hot to eat.....thanks.

Game hosts, admins and the staffing who made the tyme to put the events together.

Then the chrono people...who made chronoing and safety checking pretty quick and painless process.

To the taliban forces......to the taliban guys at round one, stationed at starlog camp and village : great job !

(story told from the taliban side):
Our orders were to defend our worthless outpost as long as possible and take out as many of the Infidels as possible.

Make them pay.....pay in bb's.....in battery powered used......in the 'lives and medics-calls''.......to force them to earn the ground we stand on.........

Besides my own team ,TLO....and our friends....AAP....i am not sure who else was with us at Starlog and the village......but it was a pleasure working with you all.

While waiting for the game to start....we asked on channel 8 if there was an alot ments of radio channels we were assigned......we didn't get an answer, so we went with TLO home channel 13....AAP soon hooked up...and within a few monents we had a good amount of people checking in and giving reports.

Teams of snipers were digging in ...............a few squads were doing ramdom patrols..........My guys were station at points,....looking out for the enemy. Traps were set.

As far as i knew...things were as set as they were going to get.

Then....the fighting started.
Commucations worked and worked well.....but with so much action, there isn't hardly anything that can be done.
"I GOT FIGHTING!!!! EMENY SPOTED !! WE ARE BEING OVER RUNNED !!"
...wellll.......who wasn't??? LOL

The squads that were assigned to Starlog, fought and fought and fought until there was no more of us to fight off the appressing forces......but we did our job : May Allaha bless you in the afterlife.

----------------------------------------

In the whole day, i didn't even out a 1/3 of the field. I am sure that taliban all over the ''world'', had thier hands full in firefights.

My only real gripe, which seemed to grow into a bigger and bigger problem as the game went on, was the high amounts of firefights within distances of 20 feet.
I heard very few safety kills.

I even witness some dumbass, who was on the taliban side,..... lay his body down on the oppsite side of 2 of his dead taliban , and then he open fired on a emeny guy about 15 feet away.

The nato force guy returned fire......got me, thou i was already dead, and got the other two dead guys..who were being used as unwilling human shields, by the asshat.

The asshat finaly got shot, called hit...then got up and walked to base........then told some of the taliban re-enforcements " Becarefull, there is a guy over there, behind that tree'.

Meanwhile, The nato guy appolized to us for being shot. We said, no problem and admitted that the guy had no right shooting at the nato guy at that short of a range.

On that note: Mr.Asshat.....i wish i knew who you were......I would of radioed an admin to take care of the sistuation.

I will tell you this, Mr.asshat......next tyme....i'll have a viedo camera mounted on p90.....and i'll catch your dishonorible action on 'film', and bring it to the attention of the game hosts.

-------------------
On other notes....it was great seeing alot of 'the old teams'.......people that i have met from other events.

Definately bringing a camera to the next OP. Maybe a video camera as well. We're trying to get some good combat footage for a team vid.
