Bad Karma wrote:It's because there has been a lot of growth within the community lately; a huge influx of inexperienced players who bought their first set of Multicam/Woodland to match their tennis shoes, and a $100 Echo1, and think that they are going hit everything they see. They have little to no skirmish experience and don't know that airsoft weapons (*especially* cheap, stock weapons) don't have nearly the range and accuracy many would expect them to. So yes, when you "lit a guy up" in the middle of an open field, and he didn't call his out, it's probably not because he's a hacker, but rather that your BBs were landing 30 feet in front of him. Most games have fuckbag assclowns that don't call their outs, but it's not nearly as prevalent as many players seem to think.

Well put.

Overall the game was great and I had a blast.

I don't think Bio ammo is required at Titan 1 Tactical fields. :)

The only part of the field I did not like was the speedball field, and that was only due to the left over paintball crap on everything. Damm paintballs need to pick up their ammo!

In the spirit of good sportsmanship, the person I mentioned who accused me of not calling a shot on the field PM'd me and we had a short PM discussion.

In a nutshell, he said he watched his BB hit me and bounce off.
I let him know that I would have gladly called myself out (it's really not a big deal) if he had calmly approached me as soon as he got eliminated by one of my squaddies and said "dude, I watched my BB hit you- it was a clean shot".

A lesson to all- a calm, rational ten second discussion on the field can eliminate most of the problems, whereas an angry call of cheating usually just gets ignored or blown off (at the time, I assumed he was on of the many who think their shots MUST have hit because they are sooo damn skilled).

So, +1 to sportmanship and rational adult discourse to solve disagreements. Three cheers to my opponent for opening up the dialogue to resolve the issue.

Remember, people, most of the time when ppl don't call shots, it's an honest mistake or you simply missed.

I heard that there was a physical altercation over a similar incident and want to add that there is no room at all for that kind of nonsense on the field. Remember people, it's just a game, nothing more.

Oh and, great field, Steve. Second the notion of player limits to about the size of yesterday. great number to space ratio.

The reason that bio-ammo is required is not safety issues - may indoor fields require non-bio because of the shattering.

The reason bio-ammo is required at many outdoor fields is that the bio-ammo will start to decompose and disintegrate much much sooner than non-bio. If I remember right, it's a matter of weeks or months instead of years or potentially decades.

Also, it's much harder to pick up bb's at an outdoor field than it is to sweep or vacuum them up in a room...

I know that's the idea but i don't believe that it is true as i know of a water botter that sits outside with bio ammo in the bottom for a year and a half and counting with no visible degradation

Liked the terrain and field a lot. Wish there was different cover in the speedball field though.

I was shot in the side of the head by a sniper from well inside the minimum engagement distance sometime in the second round.

It didn't hurt and wasn't a big deal. I only found out that he was too close when I was told by a photographer that did see him.

That mulitcam was amazingly effective on that field, cause I looked to see where I had been shot from as I walked back to the deadpool and saw nothing. That is Why I was so shocked when I was told that they fired from way to close.

Yes, what he said. I was the other half of his "short PM discussion."

It's airsoft. That's why we don't have prizes for whoever wins.

+1.

I'll just shoot him again next time.

I don't think I hit shit all day. Every optic I mounted ran out of batteries, broke, or the mount fell off.
