Just go ahead and bring it along to show us before the game and we'll give you the go/no go.
The more the marrier, this would be a great game to bring new players out too, or if you are a new player it will be a nice casual game with fun objectives to get a feel for what your in for at those 100-200 player events.

Looking forward to seeing you all out there!

Didn't realize that was you for a sec, lol.

Yes you can use it, as long as your throwing it at Zacks a$$.

What's the head count for your squad?

Great game, good attitudes. I enjoyed the multiple-objectives gameplay and look forward to future events.

Wow what a day, LOL! Thanks everyone who made it out. No rain was awesome, that goat sacrifice must have worked.

Good fighting from Northern Ireland (orange) Thought you had us the first half. But wait, what's this? It's fuckin Green (I.R.A.) for possibly the biggest come back ever! WTF Smoked them fools! Going from being trapped in our F.O.B. to gettin' three outta five objectives done in 15mins. WOW..... wow.

Thanks again everybody, glad everyone stayed after the "thing," with the paintball refs. I'm not sure if orange even really knew what happened.

Special shout out to the guy in the Washington crew with the helmet that helped me move the bomb, blow up the tower and capture Zack?, Charlie too. Javier for being on top of that head when it fell. The PF boys for keeping the heat on. And all the F.O.B. guards, would of really sucked to lose that just before the items started rolling in.

Great job everyone. After Chainsaw gets done with his soothing bubble bath(with scented candles) he'll give his A.A.R.

Until next time, stay clowning and cuzz out all women and children that you see!

...Except the satellite base wasn't ever destroyed, because by emptying the container, you guys brought the shell of an explosive device to the building (like throwing blasting caps without any C4). Oh, and don't forget the part about our HVTs walking into the enemy line. ;)

Let me start by saying: Thank you so much to everybody who came out to support us for our first game. We didn't make a dime off the game (%100 profit to the field owners), but we learned a ton that we hope to take into our next event.

I saw great hustle from both sides, even though there was very little movement of the front line for a long time. Reducing the green teams respawn rules seemed to do the trick and the action picked up for that second half of the first round.
Unfortunately, the second round seemed to fall flat on its face, and I apologize, but it was kind of out of our control at that point as the field owner was trying to kick us off the field to make room for paintballers, so we made the decision to just do something simple and straightforward. Maybe it wasn't the most fun, but hey, you got a chance to empty your magazines towards a moving target so you didn't have to empty them at the cars.

Things that went right:
-Both sides did seem to play the objectives, its just so much easier to defend an HVT then it is to take it.
-The entire part of the field we were allowed to use seemed to be getting used, which is great. No matter where I walked there seemed to be players moving through it or hunkered down in it waiting to ambush.
-The weather was fantastic.
-Only a few cries of "Call your hits" that were quickly taken care of.

Things that went wrong:
-The field owner lost the keys to the fields back gate, keeping the vehicles from entering the field, and ruining roughly half the gameplay mechanics in the process.
-Having to wave off paintballers, and fight with the field owner to let us stay on the field for the time promised without giving it up to paintballers.
-Not to sully Green Teams win, but removing the weight from your bomb basically made a mechanic that was supposed to promote teamwork into something one person could do. Also, moving your spawn closer into your FOB made it impossible for Orange to win once you started to complete your objectives.
-Paintballers attempted to use our chrono, which is upsidedown up considering it is labeled as an airsoft chrono and the hole is smaller then a paintball. Beran was kind enough to help us clean it out with some napkins, but its the principle of the damn thing!

So, overall, I had a great time shooting at new and old players alike, and I look forward to promoting another event with similar objectives better executed. We will likely not run another at Splat Action however due to the issues we had with the paintballers and the field owners.
Hopefully Chainsaw will jump on here and give a more detailed AAR, since this was basically his baby.

Hope to see you all at the next one.

Alright, let's start off with the bad news; the things that went wrong. Unfortunately some issues did arise with the logistics of using this field (lost keys, miscommunication of field owner to field staff of where we were playing). There also seemed to be some miscommunication between this event's administration on both teams (spawns being moved without notice to other admins, objectives being modified without notice to other admins). Some of these issues were out of our hands, and some of them were not. Luckily, the negative issues that were under our control did not affect gameplay too extensively. As for the issues that were out of our control, such as the absence of the vehicle that was promised, I would like to apologize on behalf of all of the administrative parties involved. We hope that those issues did not affect the game too negatively, and we will seriously discuss whether or not this field is a good fit for our future games or this sport.

As for the good news, I had a lot of fun at this game as did many people who I talked to. It was our mission to try and create a simple, but fun OP that utilized an under-used play area. I hope that this goal was achieved, and from my interactions with the players it seemed it was. I saw a lot of people playing the objectives, and using great tactics which is always great to see. Overall, I don't know if this game was a success, but it was definitely a learning experience. We were not in this to make money, we just want to improve the smaller scale events that the PacNW has to offer, and our future games will reflect this.

I was wondering why we had to end early. Had a good time rolling with PF on that trek over the ridge tho.

This game was a success.

No battle ever goes exactly as planned, real or plastic.

I think everyone had a great time.

I will be hosting a game next month with or without Mithrils help. Most likely on Sunday the 27th.

P.S. Tucansam, you wore white jeans to a game, now I know your crazy! Love it
