You bring in your AEG and lay it on a table in front of you.
You sit down and wait for Bill to discuss the problem.
Bill tells you to disassemble your AEG to a certain point.
Bill tells you each step of fixing the problem.
Bill tells you each step of reassembling your AEG.
Through the whole process you are doing the work. Bill may step in with guidance and advice but the point is for you to be learning hands on. As my father-in-law used to say:
I hear and I forget
I see and I remember
I do and I understand
I teach and I master (actually I made up this one)
It is best if you bring your own tools and parts. That way you will be using the tools that you will be using outside the workshop. You will see what you are lacking and should add to your repair kit.
You will also be in a room with everyone else with all the tables in a circle. You will be hearing and seeing what is going on with all the other AEGs at the same time. Which also makes each night different due to the different mix of AEGs brought in.
