As most of you know, I don't post very much. I stay back in the shadows and let all the hot heads yell, scream, insult, and maime each other. Sometimes though, you have to come forward and state your peace.
After this is finished, some of you may agree with me, some of you may want to start a flame war... whatever. I don't get on much to read posts any more....so I probably won't even see it. I don't have time for it. I do this for real and have a unit to push out to Iraq from now until the end of next month.
The event yesterday was by far my worst experience ever in Airsoft, bar none. The field, again, is not condusive for Airsoft. The "buildings" are shoddy, falling down and hastily setup. There were very few Admins on the field. Zeus did his best to keep running around and track down the ones that basically ruined it for myself and everyone I know.
I'm very dissapointed that I actually paid for this event. It was so poorly executed, that I left shortly after the start of the 2nd half. I, like many others, traveled quite a distance for this event. I even took 5 days of leave to ensure that I'd have the weekend off for it. So, after spending $130.00 in gas, $35.00 for my entry and traveling more than 160 miles both ways, I must say that I will never attend another event at Splat Action.
The quality of play that I've come to know and love, just isn't honored at that field. There was blatent cheating (on both sides), no organization, not enough Admin for the amount of players and the whole event was just a mirror of Grid 18, Siprot Ridge and all the other events that have been held there.
APST, I think you should step up and take a good hard look at the events you sponser/put on. Don't say you have no affiliation with the event as I've already heard through the grapevine, because you're not only posted this on the APST sponsored events forum, but you were also helping out with the crono and selling tickets etc.
That's about all I have to say. Say whatever you want... turn it into a flame war... I really don't care too much. Just remember one thing.... I got into this sport and out of paintball because of one thing...
The quality of the players on the field. I got tired of all the griping, whiping, cheating and everything else.
Please don't let this sport fall the way of Paintball.

Good times.
