Great game. It was fun playing as SAW gunner again, except for the fact that my SAW broke down halfway through the game... Anyways, it was a good thing I was carrying 2 guns! Anyways, fun game, awesome time shooting with/at you all. Great performance by everyone. Thanks, guys, especially Rick. Also, vehicles, vehicles, vehicles!
Please, I insist.

I had fun today.

Also, thanks to my Platoon Sergeants Unfighter01, DJ, Phoenix1421, Snake72, Attack37 and MajMason. You guys were the ones taking and holding sectors at the small unit level that ultimately won us the game.

Also, I outsourced the job of CO. We had a TOC (Tactical Operations Center) running at spawn with Android, Poke and Bambi running radio nets and coordinating efforts. All I had to do was put in the legwork and pre-game planning, then show up the day of the game hungover with two radios and an AK with two hicaps taped together.

As far as an After Action Review (AAR), I'd probably just have these suggestions:
I'mproves:
-Admins. Your admins were professional, but you didn't have enough of them. I liked how SOTA had an admin on each point to keep fair play at Ash Bash IV. I think a lesser-paid admin could be used and kept at each point as well as a few roving and staying in the hot action spots to deter cheating.
-Better information spread. I know this is hard especially with the audience your'e working with, but I think that having two admins brief the teams/factions separately at their spawn you'd have a more captive audience, as they would already be kitted up and not lollygagging or at their campsites. Also possibly allocating more time to the briefing at the spawn/start points to make sure everything is put out.
-Unfair Play. This isn't the game's fault, as it happens at every game. I saw it from both sides and heard the complaints from both sides about not calling hits as well as flag flipping disputes. I think this could be solved by having more admins.
-Personal or Host responsibility. We tried to police up our campsites, but CAG was some of the last to leave and we ended up picking up trash from other campsites. Also we had to put out a campfire that somebody left burning. This is something we can probably fix by marking who camps where and then having personal accountability, or having a "camping deposit" put down that would be returned when their campsite was inspected/cleaned by admins. After the game this should go quickly with enough admins.
Sustains:
-The game was very well thought out as far as balanced sectors and respawn times. The 15 minutes seemed to even up the flow and make strategy play a more important role, and the sectors were spread out. CAG rolled as a single unit and had a lot of distant point captures. After the game they told me how they enjoyed the fact that they were utilizing the entire field.
-The Night game was fun and planned out, even if it had some snags. When it did have snags, you guys adapted and kept it fun.
-Everyone on Mehdi showed up to play and the key leaders were awesome in making us win. Big props to Unfighter01, DJ, Phoenix1421 and MajMason for heading up the Platoons.
-I outsourced the job of Commander. I had a Tactical Operations (TOC) tent back at spawn with Android, Poke and Bambi running the different COMM nets as well as maneuvering the separate elements. All I had to do was show up hungover with a radio and an AK with two hicaps taped together. Thank you guys for keeping us moving!

After Lord of War 2 Pharoah6 came up to me and said he was glad he won because he didn't want to get heckled for losing against a Sergeant (He's a Captain). Well sir, looks like you have a story to bring back to them this time. ;-)

Great game today. Weather looked awful in the morning, but it really cleared up. Pharaoh 6 and Jester, great leadership today!

One hell of a game. I had no problems the entire time. the camping was awsome with great friends and the story..some are trapped in my mind.

Game day: i was freaking out after seeing i may only have 4 guys. Then like someone answered my prayers (and drafting) i came to the field with 12 men proud. We were 3/2 and i believe we gave EDG a solid Fight. That blasted Wood fort and i will always be enemies!

Thank you all for just a great time. It was awsome to say goodbye to you guys that helped me when i just began airsoft. Ill be back for games dont you worry. maybe ill get some muscle for once.

Redd wrote:Fantastic game!! This was the first game I have attended since last year and the first I have played in even longer, and I have to say that Riddick has done it again. Thank you to the admins! 808 Tonka and I loved working with you guys today--as well as scaring the crap outta you when we were doing our scouts-- It's one thing to sneak up on your opponent but it is a whole different story when you can sneak up on your own team even though they know you are in the area and coming in!!!!! Ooh Rah for the Rangers!!!!

808 that dodge truck was awesome and thanks for saving my a$$ after I cleared out sector ten!
To whoever it was that I killed on SOTA: You are a great player thanks for honoring my kill on you even though I know you didn't feel it cause your mags were up front. very mature and very sportsmanlike! Kudos!!!!

Thanks everyone!!!

I think you are talking about me. I'm not on SOTA, but we were mixed in with some of their players most of the day. Anyway. No problem, we were pretty damn close and sometimes we all just don't feel it with all the gear and noise. I didn't really mind the short walk to spawn anyway.

Good game overall. Admins, Hats off for putting up with a lot of confusion and BS during the last half of the game. You guys did an outstanding job.

Thanks Rick for putting on this game. There have been drastic improvements since your last game I attended. (I think LOW1?)

VVVVVVIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

Awesome job Mehdi. Great game everyone, I had a blast, and the weather was actually, I would say, just about perfect, especially for all the running.

P6 it was nice to finally meet you at the final horn out at point 9. Well played on that one sir, we just didn't have quite enough time to take it back. Made me sad, after holding it nearly the entire game, it slipped through our fingers in the final seconds.... noooooo .

Anyway, great game everyone, this field is awesome and I eagerly await more games that can utilize the whole field like we did today. I had a lot of fun running the main body of CAG (1/1 and 1/3), you guys all did awesome.

The game itself was fantastic. I am a huge fan of the 15 minute respawn rule permanently. Almost every hit was called that I saw, and everything ran rather smooth, again, just from what I saw. Great job to everyone involved in this.

As for camping....what the shazaam? I mean seriously, what the shazaam? My God, I hate to be the stick in the mud but is blasting your music and shouting your a$$ off after midnight really necessary, when you are surrounded by people attempting to sleep? And to whoever it was that was firing within the campsite the night before, and you were firing a lot, please don't bleeding do that. I found bbs outside my tent, meaning they were ricocheting off of whatever you were shooting at and no one has bleeding eye-pro on in the parking area! Jesus bleeding Christ! That is all.

If you see that in the future, go get Rick, or go directly to the person and tell them to stop. That type of BS is going to get air soft permanently banned from this field. I got a lot of dirty looks from people when I was doing the "litter nazi" thing. Grow up..... But seriously people I have talked with the owner of this field who stated, airsoft has two strikes against it at my field, one more and no more air soft here". Some stuff like what tyrant is describing is exactly what the owner described to me as stuff that is unacceptable. This is the home and business of these people....really, how about I come to your house and crap on your porch, and then for grins come and pinch one on your desk at work just for fun?

Whomever left that smoldering fire with glass and cans in it. ( I have a pretty good idea) your a$$ is toast. I will seek to have you banned from this place, as your dumbass behavior will cause the entire hobby to be banned from here.

^^^^^

DJ i appreciate when you came over to my tent to remind us to clean up, we only had a couple things but it needed to be done regardless. We dont want to be "that guy".

And to the firepit: yeah i dont know who it was but id rather not cook my soup in beer cans and whiskey bottles, thank you drunkards.

I get the concept of having a drink or two and enjoying yourself, but when you want to get fully blow drunk off your arse, just stay the f**k at home, none of us want to deal with you. I was trying to sleep and heard several intoxicated people threatening a kid to either help you with a prank that was planned or else. Way to scar that kid for life, guys.

I was in 3/3 and it was a pleasure reinforcing that blasted fort for you repeatedly. Rear security and public comms (channel 9) was my job, while our PL kept in touch with base.

You guys were great harper, i dont know where the heck the rest of 3/3 was at, but if they'd been there we probably could have held it longer. but heck, it was FUN!
