Yeah, generally the water won't affect the gun at all. It only affects the accuracy as the bb's will hit a rain drop and fly off at random angles.

I've played in the rain many times and have had no issues with the gun it's self, just with actually hitting people.

Hey, is anybody rolling out from Portland on sunday morning that I could get a ride with? I won't have much of any gear, because I'm admining.

Alternatively, is there somebody planning to head out fairly late afternoon saturday?

Define "late" afternoon on Saturday.

As late as possible, considering that I'm still kinda hoping to get a ride sunday.

But I'll take what I can get, because I made a commitment to admin, and a ride is a ride. When were you planning to head down there?

The main thing I am worried about is the lipo battery in my m4's handgaurd (which you all know have holes on the tops and bottoms) getting wet.

Again, provided you don't submerge the weapon, your battery will be fine. LiPos only react to water if you dunk the cell or remove the protective casing. Since you're not going to do anything dumb like that (right?), you should be fine. If you're really concerned about it, a strip of tape along the inside of the handguard should alleviate any major concern.

@Vidar | I'm heading down tomorrow evening from Seattle, leaving TacomaTactical around 5-5:30pm, so that would put me in Portland around 6:30 or 7.

Let me know if you still need a ride.
