Thanks to Black Sierra for putting on the best CQC event to date.

Most of all thanks to the actors. You guys are really what made it great.

Gary,

I am reverting back to my previous negotiating technique. I will shoot you SQUARE in the forehead next time.

Great job.

Man when I heard that story about you Knuckles, I couldn't do any thing but laugh. After CQC4, the acting crew finally got you back for that bomb mission. :)

Once again, there are a few groups that need to be thanked here. Thanks to Matt R. for squaring away the media needs of the event along with the sponsors. You would not have had those AEGs and all of that gear with out him! Thank you for all of the film guys that are/were working on this project, I think at one point all of you were shot? Its rough being a camera man.

Our actors also deserve a giant e-hug. I can honestly say I was impressed with all of you. The close protection scenario would have been broke tool had it not been for you. LE even though I got to watch it once was intense and I laughed when Gary apparently had enough, dropped the two hostages, and started shooting out the window. MOUT with the knife fight was pretty damn funny especially when testiclecncr was the phony pony! :D Once again, these events are nothing with out our actors from both acting experience and from the community.

Thank you to the other guys in blue. None of this could have been done the way it was with out the 6 of us running around in blue. Troy, Soyuz, and Morgan, thank you. There may have been some rough patches through out the weekend, but it happens as you may learn again in the future. Thank you for scoring the event as you saw it and maybe dispelling that thought of APST rigging the event! Nah... that shit was rigged. :D

A huge special thanks goes out to Rick Fisher aka Riddick, the man was our chef all weekend. He kept the troops strong and fed. At one point he even drove into Longview to get drinks as we were completely out. Food and drinks are the most important things to keep those wild animals known as actors happy. Thanks again Rick. :D

Knuckles you had the best look on your face when I shot you, you looked so betrayed. I had to stay in character but I was torn between laughing and saying "sorry bro".

By the way your team was one of only 3 that got a hostage out alive, your sacrifice saved your team a 10 minute penalty. The cool thing is that team mates deaths didn't add any penalty time.

Negotiation, distraction, and "multiple access points" were the keys in this scenario to rescuing the hostages.

We left 5, yes 5 windows open on an entire wall of the room. Only one team even tried to use the windows as a shooting and/or flash bang dispersal option.

I hope everyone had fun, cuz my heart rate was up past 120 each time.

i have always enjoied CQC to the fullest. i never get the option to run and i did have a option to roll with PAC but i had to pass, 1 because its not fair to knuckles and the rest of the guys for me to jump in for just one event and 2 the time and distance involved meant i would have got one training session. thats just not enuff for me, and i would not have wanted to comprimize thier stack or SOP.

CQC is and always will be my bread and butter. it keeps me alive, and wanting more. and you know what?

i have never ran it.

i only get to watch from backstage, or with a clipboard. but guess what, i know EXACTLY what is expected, what skill sets to show in what situations, what the scorer is looking for. also being on a team such as EATF ( the big black CQC monster), and having troy there to push me during training, i know EXACTLY how i want to train my stack. its gonna happen boys, and when Morgan's rifles hit, it will be with a shot heard around the world. attacking soon...

CQC6 had alot of effort and planing put into it, and i had abosolutly nothing to do with it, i was just a hired gun in a blue suit with a pair of eyes, a brain and a clipboard. all the accolades for this got to ryan, adam and bill.period.

i had a great time for the most part, and had my phony pony fits with the boys in blue, but overall i had so much fun watching how each team delt with what the boys in blue threw at them. to the best of my abilities i tried to be just true honest and fair. from brief to de-brief i hope you feel as though you were treated with professionalizim. remeber this is my first time scoring, i will only get better.

i am hoping to become a permenant fixture in BSP, maybe one day you will run a KA-BAR senario ( my debut senario is a big deal, and bill, ryan and adam wont skimp on your location for it... i keep picking places and they keep squashing it. if you thought the VIP senario was the shit, just wait). i also will be wanting to compete so i will be taking off the blue suit once in a while to run, maybe CQC7.

i would also encourage other teams to support BSP by subbmitting team members to the Scorers course, and learn how to score a event. this is a unique opportunity for the teams to participate in a new and fun way, it builds a community of fair and honest minded referees that BSP can call upon to score, when other scorer want to run. it shows your teams willingness to participate in the community, not just community events... in other words give a lil back.

also learning how to score an event builds a whole new skill set for your mind. you will use that knowledge when you train. your training will become more focused and detailed. you will know what is expected of you and why. it will make your team BETTER for it. and it takes all the polotics and roumors out about rigged events.

once again i have enjoied all your company for CQC6 and i am very sure that many of you did not mis ol KA-BAR and his trainers company this go around.

Thanks for coming out everybody! That's a really fun way to spend my birthday, watching so many amazing teams in action. The competition was very close, some teams were only seconds apart, as mentioned previously. A lot of the return teams have improved drastically since they started coming out to CQC competitions.

My camera crew was very impressed with the event, I believe we may have turned them all into future Airsofters. Aaron, Fred, and Mike have a lot of work ahead of them. We've got a bazillion gigabytes of photos to sift through. You guys really brought it to a professional gear level this time around, I was impressed with your loadouts and how uniform the teams were.

Actors - you went the extra mile. The MOUT scenario folks, I really appreciate your effort to use arabic phrases instead of just throwing out lines from Team America. The security scenario, amazing of course. Sheraya called me at the last minute on Friday to ask about acting in the event, and I'm glad she did. She made an excellent shooter, and also one you least expected to be the shooter. To our teachers, you guys took abuse after abuse in that little room! My girlfriend was in that scenario on day1, got lit up many a times. Needless to say, I owe her some flowers :)

I'm faced with the daunting task of weeding through 30 some hours of video footage. As for the helmet cam wearers, you guys are effin rock stars, seriously! I have so many amazing shots from first person view of people getting flat out pwned in the MOUT mission. You can always count on Tommyboy for violence, he was wearing the helmet cam when he shoved the Iraqi into the wall and put 3 in his chest. When East Side Rangers ran the scenario, you can actually see the BBs exit the barrel as they're backlit by a tac-light.

We hope to have photos going up in the next couple days, a trailer of highlights released in the next couple weeks, and a DVD within a month. The DVD should feature compiled footage for each team in it's own chapter.

Airsoft International magazine and Airsoft Xtreme magazine will both be running stories on the event. A few of the many amazing photos we have from this weekend will be going into the magazines. Softers all over the world will be reading about and watching what you guys did last weekend.

The players and teams make the event what it is. With Airsoft Pacific, I've always wanted to promote team competition and team building, I'm happy to see events like this cater to teams and give them something they crave.

Fun little tid bit from the Teacher's room

Postby Vulcan » Mon Jul 23, 2007 11:43 am

I granted my hostages the courtesy that I would shoot the floor instead of shooting them with my SOCOM point blank. Everytime they actually got shot with BB's over the 2 days was the direct result of their "Rescuers" shooting them. We laughed about that alot after each team left...

Hey Knuckes

Knuckles,

One final brag on your team in the LE scenario.

I'm not sure how many BB's your team fired upon entry but:

No one on your team shot the hostages, they thought that was a plus.

I was killed with a single BB to the face, instead of 30-50 BB's to my entire body.

You got a hostage out alive.

Excellent REAL LIFE fire control on the part of your team!

Of course, that doesn't account for over penetration had the rounds been real...
