Scappose Field Safety Rules & Regulations:
http://www.airsoftpacific.com/viewtopic.php?p=77221#77221

Here are the new Scappose Field Safety Rules & Regulations. They will be in effect at this and all future skirmishes, games, or any other type of event being held at Scappose. anyone in violation of these rules will be delt with immediately.
All players, regardless of if you have done so already MUST SUBMIT A SIGNED AP WAIVER before stepping foot on the field. Failure to do so means you do not play. By submitting a waiver you are agreeing that you have read and will abide by the rules for the field.

Safety brief will be given at the start of the game. If you are not present for the brief, YOU DO NOT PLAY
So be on time

Is this to say that every single time we play at Scapoose we have to sign a new waiver? I'm glad we've got the field back, but if we're bringing a waiver to each game just so someone can throw it in the garbage and check us in, I don't think I'd be the only one at least mildy irritated. Also, if I'm to bring a waiver, I'd like to know who I'm turning it in to.

AP.com staff seem to have a good record of who's got a waiver signed and who doesn't - right?

there will be a record kept of who has turned in a waiver for the field. so no you dont have to turn one in at everyone game. just the first game you attend now that the field is re-opened.

I need to make this clear to everyone, though some of you out there have turned in an AP waiver before for AP hosted games. They will have not application on anything to do with the Scappose field. The AP waivers being turned in by the players attending the Scappose games are only as a way to track players agreeing to abide by the rules for scappose. these waivers will have no future use with any AP game. The primary reason I am using the AP waiver for Scappose at this time is convienence. Eventually there will be a seperate wavier for the Scappose field, but do to the lack of one right now the AP waiver will be used.
AGAIN, BY TURNING IS THE AP WAIVER AT SCAPPOSE THIS ONLY MEANS YOU HAVE READ AND WILL ABIDE BY ALL THE STANDING RULES FOR SCAPPOSE FIELD, IT WILL HAVE NO BEARING ON ANY AP HOSTED GAMES IN THE FUTRE

Ok, I am not trying to be a tool here but...

All minors must have the waiver signed by parent or guardian.
No one under the age of 16, without parent or guardian at the field during game play.

I have to stand up for the C.M.P.'s here. I know several guys under 16 that I would prefer to play airsoft with than MOST guys over 18.

And what is up with the village? Is there some issue with the land owner about the village and ravine? THese 2 geographical fetures are what sets the field apart from any other slightly wooded area with trails. If they are unavailable what is the attraction of the site.

Next, Why all the harsh and heavy handed, no room for error, cover my a$$, ( I won't use the N word) rules. Because you and I both know that the rules WILL get Broken and noone will take the proper action to MAKE people leave the field. TO make this work you are going to have to find people that are not airsofters and aren't afraid to piss people off.

I have made simular rules for games but never been able to enforce them. I as a team leader know you cannot make people follow the rules.

Now that all being said, I really really want to come out and play this weekend but I also want to have time to play.

Maybe I should just bring out the big set and be the asshole that makes sure everyone doesn't fire in the safe area and make sure noone jacks anything from the cars. Everybody pretty much hates me because I want to have the rules followed anyways so.

The village was what I was really looking forward to, since I have never played there.

I looked over Tommy's rules several times, I think the age limits were removed.

And, the Village rule says it is OK if it is part of game play per Admins.

how?! you address it in front of everyone and noone goes in the village, it's that simple. It's not like you can accidently fall down and up that slope into a building. If you have that little confidence in the players why don't you babysit that day. christ.

This game is a week away. Lets not start to get negative. I want to have fun and, I want those attending to have fun.

Let me just say. There will be several players on the field with admin powers. Some will be walking arround. Some will be team leaders. Others will be playing. We will be inplementing and following the rules. Or Tommyboy will shut the field down again. It's that simple.

As for games. There will be a couple elimination/timed games. That will involve the village. We will then play a game or two of sector control or flag based games.

I'd also like to take this time to remind people that show up late. You must talk with an admin. Before entering play.

Troy if you'd like to Admin for part of the day. Let me know.

edit: When it comes to the rules. Depending on the severity. A player can be called dead and, sent to the respan. A player can be asked to sit out of play for a half hour. Or a player can be sent off the field for the rest of the day and, If anyone is caught stealing. I'm calling the police.

There's only one reason we play airsoft..to have fun. So let's do that this Sunday and, have great day for everyone.
