Could I have an age exeption? I am 14 but just bought an ICS MP5 and full Military Uniform. I really want to be in this battle, it would be my first. Im going to be at Scoutcamp next week so i cant go to any otheres. I also can't play on sundays. Me and my friends (whos 15) would go if i can get this age agreement. I really don't see any difference from being 14 and 15. Oh well i quess i'll let you decide that.

Thanks,

Me and a buddy are definitely planing on attending. We will need to join up with a team however (seeing as the event is based on 4 12 man teams). Sounds like it's going to be excellent.
Cheers!

Agreed. So back on topic fellows.
I'm digging the sound of the military vehicles and the team based tactics.
Cheers!

You're welcome.

Anyway, back on topic: Am I the only one surprised by the format of this game? Rather a mixture of CQC and outdoor scenario game. I can't decide if it's more likely to be the best of or the worst of both worlds. Are other folks excited or nervous about this type of game?

This operation will be executed in a manner similar to Airsoft Pacific's CQC competitions.

This is a competition to test your teams tactical ability, problem solving skills and combat skills in an outdoor environment.

There's no CQC... it's a competition.."similar to Airsoft Pacific's CQC competitions" ;)

Catch22: Yeah, I get that it's an outdoor competition. My question was poorly phrased. I just meant it combines the competition element of CQC events and the outdoor element of most scenario games. I know I like CQC competitions and force-on-force outdoor games. I can't decide if outdoor and competition would go as well together. I guess I'll have to find out. :-)

Claymore: I'm not asking a question for the organizers. I'm asking everyone else.

One reason we set the Operation up in this format is this:
We have some very unique scenarios that will occur throughout the day. In a typical operation you may or may not get to experience these events first hand... Likely you would get to read about them on the boards after the fact.
By using the team / scenario based format we can ensure that everyone gets to see that M20 roll up, and that .50 cal turret mounted, gas converted machine gun open up on your crew. Everyone's ears will ring from the bursting artillery shells and get to watch the earth rain down around them. Everyone gets to ride in military jeeps and weapons carrier.
Essentially everyone gets to be the 'special force' team sent to carry out that all important mission.
Don't get intimidated by the label 'competition.' It is a points driven event, and we will keep score but who wins isn't what really matters here. What we are really trying to do is give you a KICK a$$ day of airsoft. Think of it as Disneyland with automatic weapons.
