Can someone please give me a good answer on where I'm suppose to turn off on mcgowen creek road? Like what the turn off looks like/ how far is it down the road.

Thanks
Preston

Ok, so the game started off pretty good, I was excited to play in the snow when we pulled up, and after meeting Ron, and Tank at starbucks, I was happy with the team. When we got there I was surprised at how small of the group of guys was there, I was thinking about….60 people, but we had roughly around…what like…30, 40? Anyways, it was good, the staging area was a little odd, just the two blue tents, people scattered around everywhere, The Admins, started the game pretty fast, three members from our team almost didn’t get there in time, and came up as I was walking to the spawn. I thought at first it was weird that there was no way of really seeing who was on your team and not, maybe in the future, NWAS should get like, arm bands or something. Also, one of the admins there was walking around with a gun, and I think some multicam, but it might have been ACU, I think next time, ALL admins should be wearing the bright orange vests, or something of the like.

The game was very structured; it was an awesome objective and whatnot, as the terrain was cool, aside from all the damned hills. The Artillery System, and the Air strikes was really weird, as much as I didn’t understand how it really worked, there were some messed up rules such as “Artillery can only be used on the road, and only on this road.â€

Fridge,

Welcome to Airsoft...

Learn from it and move on.

Oh, and moving under heavy fire is the best kind of movement. It shows you are either really dumb, of have a huge set of testicles.

Great game.

And pardon me I was down on the road faster than most people. Right behind Drix.
Not to mention trying to figure out and coordinate the best assault since Tank was down, and call in an Air assault.

He's actually not that new. I would have to disagree on the moving under heavy fire. Yes, it is good to move in heavy fire, BUT NOT WHEN YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHERE YOU ARE BEING SHOT FROM, AND YOU HAVE NO TIME TO SCOUT THE AREA OUT BECAUSE YOUR COMMANDER TELLS YOU TO CHARGE BLINDLY INTO BATTLE.

If you know where your enemys are and you have a good path to take cover it's smart, but randomly running into battle so some guy can stand behind you and bark out orders is different. I probably died 5-10 times today for no reason other then running blindly into things because I was told to by my commander. At the place I work in computer programming, my boss spent most of his life in the military. He was in Vietnam for god knows how many years, he was special forces and scouted for Navy Seals, while setting marks to signal a clear path. He has taught me a thing or two about tactics. If you don't believe me his name is Ken Smith and he works at the Philomath school District.

Overall it was a good game, but using good tactics is good. I will be running with PSC the next game I go to and following their orders because I actually train with them and work better with them.

Dude....dont even try that, you would sit back behind EVERYONE else towards the last base we took, look man, I am not saying that your like...a bad person or anything, I have respect for you as a person....just not as a commander....

And again, I dont know if I mentioned this, but uh, You do realize that you were threating to turn on about...half your team for a while right? All because we were going to flank the enemy rather than take a head on assault again, for the 4th time.

Lets see, if they stopped up coming from the front about 4 times, MAYBE, just maybe we should try a different tactic.[/quote]

I can agree that was a bit out of place. but in all honesty, I like you guys but as far as command went it was very hard to get you guys to do what we needed. Vamp is a hard a$$ but one of the nicest guys on the field. He was very much responding to my stress in the fact that we could not get you all to do what we were asking. When we say move up we don't mean run out and expose yourself to the enemy or move 3 feet forward and hide. As you did many times. I could visually see you all just standing around in the open were the enemy had a direct line of site or behind me like in the first firefight. I was frustrated in that when I would ask you to do something I was either ignored, or you just did what you wanted kind of listening.

Vamp was holding back because he was second in command and I was down. If you noticed I was many times all the way in the back also. But that is were we need to be. Command is suppose to be protected. How many times did you see the my back side in a fire fight?

To add to that vamp was at the front of almost every assault on those bases. While you all were not. I can say the same thing. Most of the time you were be hind me when we finally engaged the enemy.

One more thing.... Vamp would not shoot you in the head. I heard him he was not being serious. you would not do what he was asking or listen he was getting stressed out. atomic will not have an epic fail and that is not your place to decide that.

So thank you all for this review. I do not believe any of this was needed if you have an issue with someone in atomic or is command please PM me directly.

I will ask vamp to lighten up though as I do see what you all are getting at.

So we don't end on a bad note I want you all to be part of the team and be happy. I will do my best to have you under your own mens commands. but you are all under me. If I say form on my 6 it doesn't mean till you deem needed to change that command, it stays that way till I say other wise. ~Tank

Yeah i ride people hard and I always have. But it gets things done.
I'll try and lighten up, and my apologizes on that.

Sounds like Chase owes Fridge a pistol or a few dead presidents.

Another thing to keep in mind. This isn't the real military. If someone tries barking orders at you, and you either don't agree with it or don't like it, you don't have to do it. There's no consequences for telling the squat little guy in all black BDUs to go shazaam himself.

Postby Clown » Mon Mar 31, 2008 11:12 am

Im really glad you guys left all this drama off our field!

I thought I might try to comment on air strikes UAVs and artillery.
These features during an airsoft event have the potential to really change the way we move our teams on the battle field. They also have the potential to make things allot more complicated. Yesterday’s game was kind of a test for us to see how it would roll. We would like to expand its use across the entire field but there has to be an admin at that location to call the right players out. We will work that bit out before the next game day.

We will also start having a meeting with CEOs and admins before game days to make sure that that every one is on the same page. I would like to thank everyone for there perfect response to all three of our blind man situations and our 2 missing persons. Players and staff were awesome! Players and staff conducted themselves professionally and are a credit to all three online communities associated with our games. It could not have been a better day for BLM to be out and watching! 8) Thank you.

I will post the next game day some time today. You can find a few pics from the event here. http://club.northwestairsoft.com/e107_p ... view.8.1.1

PS sorry for the long post :)
