Hey Niall, I don't want to impose by cross posting this on our forums.... if this an open event, would you please post up on our forums as well. I talked to Mike/Soyou (sp?) last night and mentioned that we might like to get together with your group on this one. Please let me know if it's open and I'll muster up a group of guys for it. Thanks.....

If it's open, please post the info on our boards for my guys:

Hey, I just got some final questions from my comanding officer before I sign up our team:

Will we have to know orientiering or map making? Or will we have a guide with us when travel around? OR will we be given a map?

Also, how much land are we talking about?

We are using less than 1K of the field, Land Nav will not be graded

thizzman,
This is a team based tournament event. A competition.
It's not exactly a 'come check it out' venue.
I would suggest you come out and enjoy some skirms at other fields and meet some folks. Get your feet good and wet.
Donahue Creek in August? Tournament team play? This isn't going to be fun. It's going to kick a$$!
If you are inexperienced, the a$$ it kicks will be yours.

Donahue Creek aint no paintball field with well worn trails and beat down brush.
Donahue Creek has all of the wonder, beauty and glory of God's own loom, only with a hatchet cleaved through it's middle.

As if trying to navigate the overgrown and twisted terrain with only thorn covered brambles to help you balance yourself weren't enough, the bastard Ruskies are dug in and waiting for you to begin crossing the creek before they open fire!

It's about as close as you can get to the real thing without going home in a bag.

Amen!
We Ruskies like nothing better than to tire you out while we lie in wait, gathering our strength before we strike fast and hard.
And that field is TOUGH, guys. If you've never been there, it will kill you. Its normal for guys to come out beaten, bruised, bloody, filthy, wet, exhausted, and cold. But they all think its the best time they've ever had.
This event will test your endurance, your resolve, and your wits. Its not just a run n' gun happy fun-time with your buddies. This is a get down n' dirty test of your milsim prowess. It separates the men from the boys, gents. And sometimes, you're taken out by a girl with an automatic weapon.
Some of our best shots are female.
Beware the Russians.

Good luck.
