To be honest, the best part of this entire operation was being the bad guys. Normally we play the good guys and don't get a chance to backstab people or off civilians or generally cause havoc on the scale and variety that we did this weekend.

I wouldn't mind doing it all of the time. :D

That was my squad all of us had our guns at the ready when mntf forces dismounted and our recently hired pmc's walked up had VERY few words and all the mntf piled back into the truck. buttons looked at me and said "you better move your asses I told em you were civilians and that youre unarmed. I dunno why they believed me but they did."

so we held our weapons low and crossed the fence and I fugured why the hell not grabbed a grenade held it concealed and ran towards the truck yelling HEY HEY waving my arms the truck slowed and mntf guys in the back were like whats up guys what do you need? and BONK I bounced that tennis ball right off the side of that transport taking every one of em out. I heard few frustraded curses coming from the back of that truck as I walked away.

However I didnt keep in mind that their respawn was in the airport not 50 yards away and a few seconds later we heard screams and turned to see every one of then at a dead run for us. our saw gunner opened fire and we shot back and forth for a while and then decided we had more pressing things to attend to.

All in all this was a great game the weather made it seem that much more like a real op and I thouroughly enjoyed myself

I will definately got to future games put on by hellmutt and ranger warren

I had fun with the PMC's especially the guys escorting the lawyer. Whoever their leader was you rock, I had a great time negotiating and working with you.

Me, coming out of the woods-"Ahh Friends how are you on this fine fine morning"
PMC Leader, hesitently- "Doing well and how about yourself?"
Me, Huge grin (glad I wasnt getting shot)- "Fantastic sir. Perhaps we could talk for a moment."
PMC leader nods-
Me- "I was wondering, we recently came into a very large amount of money and.... Perhaps would you like to join us in our glorious struggle to free Mugambi?"
PMC Leader nodding- "What... what kind of money are we talking?"
Me- "well how much is he paying you?"
PMC leader- "I want you to say an amount first then well talk."
Me- "Sure"
Neil approaches- "good morning"
PMC leader- "Good morning. Gentlemen we need to be getting to the diamond mine. Perhaps we can discuss this on the way."
Neil- "Sure"

We start to escort with them, and they watch as all of 1-1 comes out of the tree line.
as we are walking the lawyer starts bitching about the walk.

Lawyer- "Arent we there yet, your all going to slow"
PMC leader- "Were going as fast as we can. I bet you got everything when you were a kid. I bet you got a car for your 16th Birthday"
Me, shouldering past- "I got a yak"
PMC leader- "Yaks are nice"

As we get about 100 feet further down the road my radio goes off and DOA says if at all possible kill the lawyer.
I stop the PMC's and after a few moments of haggiling we bottom out at 10mil for payment (We had just made 500mil 10mil is a drop in the hat)

PMC leader- "we still need to get this lawyer to the mines, once we drop him off we will help you out."

The radio comes to life again and it turns out we had already made it to the mine, killed all of the miners and stole all of the diamonds.

I shrug, turn around catch back up to the PMC's- "maybe you gentlemen dont necessarily need to make it to the mines"
PMC leader- "how so?"
Me- "I will give you 5k to off him."
Lawyer- "What!! what are you talking about we need to hurry and get to the mine!!"
PMC Leader- "Shut him the shazaam up and restrain him"

We shook on it. I strode over to the Lawyer pulled out my pistol put it to his forehead and said contact... your dead.

He made a sad face

Great game, When you can preform over 5 war crimes before 8:00 in the morning life is good. Thanks to Battlesim, Warren, and PSAC

YEah...I contact killed a poor guards that REALLY wanted to go back to his village. He was taking off his AK when Cobol ordered me to shoot him. He froze, looked up at me with doe eyes, and I drew my side arm, whispered "sorry" and yelled "CONTACT!"

20 seconds later, I rounded the corner to see a detainee struggle to his feet and round a corner. With no warning or hesitation whatsoever I put 2 into his back and then we discussed if he was the ATC or not and not really caring in the process.

Sure was good to be the bad guys.

That's cool, but CONTACT kills have nothing to do with Gallant Saber or Battlesim rules.

I think thats why the 2nd one was running. If I'm not mistaken, Rico contacted him in the forehead, the actor stumbled then ran, wherein I shot him twice and he dropped like a sack of marbles. The first one was smart enough to play dead...he knew that I'd shoot him and was just being nice.

Goddamn that was good times.

Buttons wrote:Nope. We didn't turn on anyone until they turned on us. Once our contract with you ended, following the retaking of the MIG camp, we stuck around for the MIG to see if you wanted to renegotiate. When Cobol friendly-fired us, that ended any chance of having a new contract in our book. Besides... It's not smugness, when it's true. :P

Yeah, like Knuckles said, I'd already had the othe PMC groups we paid off take our money, and then 5 minutes later come charging at us with a group of marines. At that point, Mugambi 1-1 standard orders were trust no PMC's. Sorry about shooting you all in the back, but you were between me and the rest of my commandos, and from a mugambi standpoint, all you PMC's look alike (i.e. you're not in OD, so you're a viable target). Our ROE was literally shoot anything and anyone you want to, even your own troops (and we did to keep them from getting captured). I had fun and played my role just like you did.

The interaction near the diomond mine was pretty funny. I was the OC present at the time. The PMC leader of that group was Fenneo.

First off, thanks to Helmutt, Warren, Scott, Battlesim etc.

I did have a very enjoyable weekend. There were some extremely low points, and some disgustingly high points. There were times where I too though that the whole thing was a joke and wanted to just say the hell with it. (mainly because it was impossible to gather our forces on an objective without 3x the oppositions riding up in trucks and shitting on our Wheaties. Then we had to walk from the dock to the cp cause all our regens were gone.) But that's milsim, and the rain, and the nettles, and the stomach ulcer and getting up at 4am just made it all the more realistic. You want to play war, well war sucks, you don't want to be there, and here we are paying $60 to be in the suck. Yeah, in the end, it was worth it.

The props and costumes and role-playing is what makes the GS series rise above other ops I have been too. I did expect more military vehicles.

The briefing kicked a$$
The assault on the airport kicked a$$/interaction with the ATC
The escape the border and killing the Germans with an unplanned ambush kicked a$$.
The diamond/gun exchange kicked a$$ ( we almost just smoked all of you, but really wanted to employ the PMCs cause we knew we were out numbered for our stand-off at the CP, which was our next objective)

I think maybe if the staff could have directed the cars directly to chrono, there wouldn't have been as much of an issue with that. I know a lot of people just went to camp, and didn't ever go chrono or register until the last minute. (Or at all) As an airsoft player, its your responsibility to chrono, just like it is to call your hits. One of the guys doing the chrono was a total asshole, but that's just a side note.

I was skeptical at first when I saw the number of people registered. I didn't think i could own up to GSII. I PMed Jason (Helmutt), and he assured me it was going to be a great op, and it was.

I agree with the opinion that you shouldn't sell raffle tickets. Some people have that kinda cash, some don't. Anyone who came to the game should have the same chances to win something. It sucked to see some people win two or three times, when there were a lot of people who didn't get anything.

That's what I have for now. I'm sure I will come up with something else.
You and your stupid F*ing rope...
