I'm gald to get shot at. :D As long as I get to shoot back! I think you guys should let me use one of your pistols, mine is shooting hot for SZ.

Fury wrote:We are also looking for anyone to be on the film crew for the event, stills and video. If you are interested, have experience and equipment please PM me.

Only 2 Slots left. Once these slots are filled, we will take teams for a reserve list if a one of the seven teams can not make it.

I have a digy cam that can take video and still, but the LCD screen is broken thanks to someone shooting it.
I'll bring it along.

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the reminder. I've had 2 computers die on me recently leading to an all out loss of touch.

Anyway, methinks we'll take the saturday afternoon slot.

just a question.....

is it alright to forego the CQC missions and just participate in the shooting match. i for one really like this idea and would like to see other teams hosting this type of "shooting comp". i would really like to see comps for diff types of platforms with top ranks in each catagory and + a overall winner ( most points cumulative from all catagorties). i think this would not only be fun, but also raise the lvl of marksmanship amoungst the community. there are various styles of event also .... such as a hogans alley, stress fire and timed stations, group as in two man versions of what i just stated ( i.e. two man stress teams, ect.)....so much possiblities. i brought this up to troy once, but i failed to follow thru ( troy also has a great idea for a shooting style comp...but he told me to keep it under my hat, so i will let him discuss that one in his own good time!)....gratz to W.A.R for stepping it up, and bringing it to the forefront on my minds eye.

back to the question....can i get in on the shooting contest without being part of the 2 missions?

I'm not sure. We hadn't thought about that, I will have to get back to you on that one. What you don't feel like acting?

Also there is 3 slots left now.

Sharpen them, Im doing the same thing.

Im curious though about the shooting part. We talking IPSA (single small target) here or are we talking double tap groupings (on a man target). Also, just to get a buffer, what is the maximum engagement range? 25ft? more...less?

These are going to affect the way the guns are set up.

The shooting course will be only for the teams running in the event. The course was thought up to take care of down time, so that is why they will be the only ones able to compete in it. But if it goes well expect to see more of the shooting course type events from us.

My team (Paladins, Intl. Tactical Support Branch) might be willing to be actors for the event. I'll have to ask them to make sure, but we could potentially provide 3 actors for the event. One of my teammates (Mono) has experience being an actor at aP events. What kind of gear would the actors be expected to have? I have face protection and some standard gear, but the only good clothes I have is woodland BDUs. I'll let Halo know ASAP.

Let me know when you find out for sure if you and your guys can act please. The more actors the better.
