Yeah, read the player packet for a previous event, this sounds amazing. Ill register as soon as it opens up again for Tatars.

For the Tatars... would it be enough to have just the woodland camo pants, and then a black shirt and vest? Also, is the Ronin Chest Rig Tactical Vest technically a plate carrier? Or would I be able to wear that as militia? Id like not to have to stuff extra mags in my pockets if possible.

Thanks in advance!

I'd just got get an OD or Woodland blouse. They're like $5 at any Goodwill or Value Village.

And this shit? http://www.condoroutdoor.com/mcr7roninchestrig.aspx

No, I don't think that would be considered a plate carrier, more of a load bearing vest. Keep in mind (and this applies to all you new guys thinking of trying out a MSW event on this side) the Tartars are supposed to be a militia. So think irregular, like the shit Syrian rebels are wearing. You're also not going to need a ton of mags. BBs will be issued to you, and MSW puts an emphasis on making sure that their games are huge shoot 'em up clusterfucks, so you're not (hopefully) going to be blowing through a dozen magazines in one engagement.

Like Welshy said pick up a woodland or OD top and you should be good to go. Also that chest rig will be perfect.

Here are a couple of things to make sure you have:

Primary
Back up if possible
Mid caps (NO Hi caps allowed)
Extra batteries
Speed loader
Hydro carrier you will be on the field for a most of the time.
Food and snacks same reason as the water
Good attitude
wiliness to follow orders

What not to bring
BB's
Hi Caps
Call of duty mindset.

The MilSim West TACSOP has been released. This is our version of a player pack, and more closely resembles US Military publications.

Please read through this, there have been substantial changes since the last one and even more substantial changes from "standard" non-MSW events.

I will be headed to the game from newberg and will have room for a extra person maybe two in my jeep. Hit me up if you want to carpool and save on gas.

Best Airsoft event I have ever attended. Admins were brilliant. Planning and coordination were brilliant. Lots of people really committed to the spirit of the game. Well done MSW.

Intense event. Very challenging.

My radio got more kills than my rifle. I'm looking forward to the next one.

My first MSW event. I had a great time. Got my old man a$$ kicked, but I rocked it the whole weekend.

Did some shootin, not much but it was enough. Saw some old friends, got to spend some quality time with my team mates, and hanging out with Pharoh 6 humping a conex and shooting Russians on Sunday. Good times overall.
Walked about 6 miles Friday night (in the buttfuck dark), over 11 miles Saturday and 5 miles Sunday. I bitched and moaned the whole time. But I still had a great time.
Special thanks to our PSG, Pete Butler for keeping our gagglefuck of a platoon in line.

Pharoh 6, you are right, its been along time since I have played this much airsoft, you keep providing this caliber of events and I will be there ;)

Cant wait for the next one.

3-6 ROMEO, out.
