Good job Merchant, what a way to put your neck out and actually go for it. You'll do even better in the future always learning from the last.
Bildo, we got hosed with that other team in their spawn. You and the other two guys with us were the quietest guys I have ever run with...let's do it again (even if it was a lot of waiting, but darnit the spawn area is so safe and secure...).
I do hope that after all this discreditable shuffling we may be taken into action. It has a wonderful way of reconciling a man with himself: and with everybody else, sometimes. - 1st Lt. James Dillon

Pacman - I had you in my scope once! Just way outta my range. Look forward to rolling w/ you and SOTA next weekend. Get some bloody diamonds :)

Had a good time, first time playing at the Farm - not a bad field. I'll be back. Those hills sure give you a workout. It was a pleasure meeting a lot of you and definitely look forward to rubbing shoulders again on the field!

Sorry to the Outcasts I really couldn't get you guys in prime position for victory but hopefully you all got some trigger time. Not easy organizing people w/ no comms. Govt/PMC really got the jump on us but I didn't hear any bitching - people just rallied up and took the fight to them, nice work. The numbers got a bit skewed because a lot of Outcast wimped out, the weather was actually quite nice.

A few critiques I have are enforcing camo requirements or making people wear armbands. Luckily I was able to differentiate my teammates from Govt/PMC but I heard a lot of complaints from Outcast about friendly fire. I really started to notice it in the second half where I didn't shoot a PMC because he basically looked like Outcast w/ jeans & a shirt.

The bolt problem was frustrating. In the future, hold the individual responsible for their action - not the entire team. If you were shot by a bolt at a close range - pull that individual aside and educate them, or if need be, get an admin involved. I hate to see injuries and believe firmly that people using a bolt should know their ranges, use safety kills, use a pistol for close engagements. The bolt has a lot of power and with it comes responsibility. I got pretty ticked that I needed to displace and go get lectured for something I wasn't involved with because I had a bolt. There's lots of remedies for this in the future that I'm sure you already have in mind (limiting bolts or educating newbs, etc.).

Merchant you did a good job, not bad for a mini-op. Look forward to part Deux - unfortunately I will probably not be in command, I'm bringing my ghillie 8)

that was awsome if i can say it in such simple terms. Even though i didnt get to shoot at much the second round i still enjoyed getting behind the outcast and just popping them as they walked along. I have to say though being sent out alone was different sense i had no meat shields to be shot to know an enemy is around...sad. ANYWAYS i loved the game and gave me some big time work out and will see about another.

I think I'm lucky that was a bullet I dodged :D I'm giddy with excitement thinking about Blood Diamonds, it will be EPIC running with you all! (or occasionally walking like us heavy guys do)

That was fun until someone saw us, but props to that guy, there were at least 10 others that should have seen us and didn't, and some people I wanted to light up and didn't because they were looking the other way.

Great Game guys!!! Thanks Merchant for hosting and the free BBQ!!! Defiantly got my shoot on and my cardio for the next 10 years. Running full speed from the Buldge all the way into the compound with Church killed me for a few. Great Job To Tactical Church for grabbing the briefcase and booking it back along with me. Awesome playing again with all you guys..Its been too long. Cant wait for next weekend. Sorry Peashooter for making you the target of my grenade kills all day but it was worth it.

In the future I think like Vaughn said "limit the bolts and hold people accountable for their actions". I think maybe a "Sniper for the new guy" training is also in order. That is the first time I have seen that many issues from snipers. Make sure you treat that rifle with respect because it can hurt someone pretty bad if misused.

All in all great game!!!

i know that i troll the forums and say stupid shit like " i shoot faces", but in all seriousness...

i have never ever shot anyone at a unsafe distance with a bolt action.

i said i would host a sniper get together called ghillieman for any and all bolt turners to come meet and greet newer and younger players that want to try thier hand at the snipers role..... no one was interested!

so i said shazaam it.

there is a reason i am usually allowed, i reapeat I AM ALLOWED, a snipers spot at games.

because this community knows me and holds me very accountable for my actions.

so a word to all of the kiddies, do not be surprized when you are not allowed to wield the platform, because you cannot or refuse to use it responsibly.

i set examples by my actions on the field, you need to emulate this or you will not go far as a bolt turner here in this community.

sounds like other then that it was a fun game.

Agreed...I am not sure how things were done in the past, but I have heard rumors that you had to qualify before using a bolt at a game. Like I said I am not sure but I think I am going to talk to Variable about adding this to the ATA.. I think with the force behind a bolt needs to have consequences to go along with it. If you cant tell what 50 ft is then get an AEG...

Thanks for the input guys. I honestly didn't realize that >50% of outcast would bring a bolt and that really surprised me. If there is a next time, restrictions will be in order.

i do not agree that you have to have a special degree or a certificate to pull a bolt back.

but for the important milsim games, i do belive that the slots should be limited, and i also belive that senior members who have proven themselves should ALWAYS get the sniper slot well and above any kid who thinks hes got a bolt action tack driver. i dont care who is whining or crying they can't shoot their gun at a game, it doesnt matter, what matters is the onfield saftey issues.

if you set up a program i would be happy to assist, i have alot of great ideas.

I agree that there should be a limited number of slots but i would say that there should be slots for other non-veteran snipers. My friend and i got out many times because we judged the shot to be to close range and then didnt have time to switch to a secondary. Im just saying that because I love snipers, the range and precise accuracy of them are just awesome. But if i asked to sign up for a sniper slot and get a no because im too young and deemed ready to judge distances and that sort of thing, its not really fair. It would just be an endless circle. While i only have a few people who can personally vouch for me that i know my engagement distances thats even less so for other people. The new kid comes with his bolt and gets told that he cant use it cause he isnt good enough yet. That then defeats the purpose since to get good enough to be allowed to play with bolt at events one must be able to practice with that gun.

Come to smaller skirms, and get togethers. The talk is of limiting the bolts for larger games (such as Op: Lord of War that is coming up). Yes, you need to be able to practice to learn how to use something effectively, but practicing on the field of a major game is not the time/place. If you don't know how to drive a car, you don't just go wing it at the DMV for your license test... Pace out 60ft in your backyard, and learn what it looks like.

You missed the post above you (Ka-Bar) about the one thing we all want more than any one thing. We all want a Safe and Fun Game. Remember this is a big kids game?

You may also want to remember one key element. Playing air soft is a privilege that the people running the events can give you the Yea, or Nea. Playing is not your right. Don't like it hold your own events.

I also want to pipe up here and say the last few events (I did not attend this one) I have been I have been seeing people do more and more risky/stupid things/behaviors at, I hope this is not a trend. Yes I did talk to the Admin's about it.

People remember this is supposed to be a fun thing.
Shooting and Photography are alike, everyone will tell you how awesome they are. Few people are that good at either.

I all ways have a blast running with ya. To bad it didn't work out they way we had planned.LOL

It was a really fun game. Sorry to hear about Ash and some other guys taking close hits. Instead of safety kills.
I bring pain.

I was playing on the Gov. forces and got thanked for pulling out my pistol on top of the huge-ass hill instead of using my primary so close. Its always interesting to be thank for shooting someone. And Merchant, most of SOTA didn't leave because of the bolt action shenanigans, we had previous plans to go to AONW before the game even started and were unsure how how long it would take us to get there. Still had a blast, first time playing the farm so it was nice to check out the scenery.
