Ok, for all Taliban, check out these links for authentic Tali-wear:

AirsoftGi has them cheaper than anywhere else I've looked -

Some good instructions for putting it on:

Nah. I'm going CIA 'advisor' style. I'll be there with my M4, 1980's style.

Well, I'll be in woodland, because that's the uniform, but in the 70's and 80's, the CIA was supplying weapons and advisors to Al Qaeda in order to fight the Russians, and later, other Afghanistanis.

That's what I was referring to. But a team of 'CIA' operators in Civi wear would be cool if Zeus would let us.

yea, it would be cool if we were doing a 80's reenactment.....

but from my understanding this OP is drawn from the current conflict ( its takes place in march 2007 in the village of solomon....first damn words in the OP discription & game details! does anyone pay attention to this shit??)....so your "costume idea" is out the window on that point right there.

people need to pay more attention to what the game admins have designed for us to play.... at the last OP @ splat action, you could not get 5 people that actually read the backstory for OP:bligerence. not one fu.cking person on woodland knew what the hell we were suppose to be doing or representing. having troy and Jim was the only reason we won. atleast at G18 we had training days and people somewhat paid attention like they actually wanted to participate. but at OP beligerence it was just a bunch of doofs wearing woodland that showed up too "shoot"....i find this rather boring, and a waste of my money, and a waste of the game designers and admins time. if this happens at this OP: it will probably be the last OP i will go to, cause they are just becomming not fun...imersion is getting less and less and starting to degrade over time since my first OP G18, and i am getting tired of the level of enthusiasim that people are bringing to the feild.

zues, you know this has nothing to do with your skills, you give all these ungreatful mother fu.ckers alot of tool, backstory, and a wealth of props and time & effort, to try to make the OPs worthwhile and in that sence they are my friend, its just the majority of this community is not responding to that. maybe you should stop for a while and the doofs will realize what they have lost, cause the way i see it now, they just take you and your OPs for granted, just to do whatever they want on the field in the end anyway. at OP:beligerence well over half of woodland was talking amongst themselves about stupid shit while you were briefing, i was lucky to catch 30% of what was said.

KA-BAR I can't speak for other OP's as for OP Beligerence, I had read the backstory and knew what the objectives were, but when new objectives were learned of (US Embassy worth 50 points) it only made sense to try to take that too. I believe that being unorganized not having a CO may have caused some of what your feeling. I know at one point I was the only one in Khe Sahn... and ummm well I couldn't hold out by myself so it was taken over. Why don't ya volunteer for CO on this one?

[sarcasm]Yeah, and theres no way possible that there could be any CIA Agents in Afghanistan in 2007 who wonder when reality became T.V. and who are totally mind-boggled by the other guy singing with in Van Halen. Nobody in Afghanistan could be totally into 1985. No way possible.

Wait a second, this is supposed to be Afghanistan? Why are the Tasmanian Terrorists part of the Allied Force? Whats up with all the trees, and underbrush . . . . . [/sarcasm]

yea....you are just solidifiying my point alex. and trying to asshat on me is just dumb, you should know that by now. the fact that i have been responding to your posts should have told you that you were making clear steps at progress on our lil arangement....are you really ready to set yourself back 100 steps more??

top-h you are one of the few i can count on my hand that actually took time to read the backstory for OP:bel. those who did know who they are and need not feel lumped into my generalizations!

I know it is supposed to be current. I understand that it is supposed to be accurate. I have read the backstory. I was at G18, and I knew the backstory for that, at the time.

What's to say that there can't be some CIA or something people there with the Taliban, making money for their organization on the Opium trade? If Zeus wants to implement it, its just an idea.

Breath in. Breath out. Understand that I'm not trying to screw with Zeus' OP. It'll be grand the way it is.

[freaking out]But dude, if you're a CIA Paramilitary who went 'native', who's stayed in Afghanistan since 1985, its going to totally destroy the event![/freak out]

Why dont you see music videos on MTV?

Haha! Then how do you exlain a bunch of a college boys in A-Stan? You Don't! You make whatever sh!t up for your reason to being there that you like. This event doesnt require strict role playing, otherwise us towelheads would need manskirts, black headrags and AK-47's.

Here's my team's backstory:
The Taliban needed mercs to help fight their jihad against the imperialist invaders. Since OITA are a bunch of poor college boys who spend most of their airsofting humping hills in the high desert at 5000ft, they made a logical choice and hired on.

Disclaimer: The above is a joke, even less real than regular fiction. Seriously.
