[OP] Red Storm

So I'm new to huge mil-sim events, but I am trying too go to Red Storm. I was wondering if some Veterans of lion claws can help me. I'm going too try too register soon, but here is a few complications. I'm getting a full multicam uniform (Already have digital marpat, but I'm buying a new uniform since I don't have a helmet yet), I only have a AEG (I don't ever use a sidearm), I don't have a platoon or squad too join.

So I guess what I am asking is if the US team is full and can I still join? (can't find a roster telling me if they are full or not) I also don't have rank insignias

If I don't have a squad or group will they be able too attach me to a squad?

If I don't have a sidearm do they frown on that?

I'm pulling my hair out reading forums and trying too get ready before I register. New too huge events, and never thought lion claws would come too Oregon.

I doubt the teams are full, but if it is full they you would not be able to register for that team. You do not need to nor should you wear rank insignia that you have not earned.
If you don't have a team you run with then they will place in a squad.
You are not required to have a side arm. Most grunts don't carry one anyway.
This is not LC's first game in Oregon, so I guess you were waiting for something that already happened. YEAH!

If the registration will let you go for NATO, then it is not full.

You don't have to worry about a squad, a team, or rank. They'll just stick you with some guys to get your game on.

A spring change is pretty simple and players here offer pretty cheap tech work in the classifieds or use a velocity reducer

Also from the rules set it says that velocity reducers are not allowed, but I agree that a spring change would be a simple remedy...

Bring your A-game. My production company 360 Labs will be in attendance shooting 360° video of the event. We use a specialized rig to shoot from 6 GoPro cameras simultaneously, then stitch together a bubble of video content where the viewer can interact and look wherever they want during the action. It can be viewed via a standard web browser where viewers can click to drag, or on smartphones where you can simply move the phone to change your field of view, or on the Oculus Rift and other VR headset devices.

Keep an eye out for this thing on the field. If you see it, it sees you! Do something awesome.



I haven't seen any published examples of this for Airsoft, ever, but if you are curious about what the video looks like take a look at a few of these examples. Keep in mind these are essentially 4K video so there may be some load time involved.
