Hey, I have an idea... it's his game, right? he can set it up how he likes. Complaining because you can't wear what you want isn't going to help your cause.

Here's the key. Don't go. wow!

Good job with those reading comprehension skills.

EDIT: I'm also not complaining. I'm just making it known that his decision could cost him interest in his event.

You know that I frequently promote large events here. I have always made it a point to encourage people to voice their opinions, good and bad, about my games so that I may improve them.

I will not be attending this event. Unfortunately, multicam is the only pattern I own, and I'm not looking to change that in the foreseeable future. A shame, too, because I rather enjoy shooting at/with many of the people on PLA, and I know ABT like the back of my own hand.

Not allowing people wearing what is arguably the second most common camouflage pattern used within our community to attend your game seems like a very easy way to alienate a lot of potential players.

I would be inclined to believe you had a legitimate reason for not including the pattern if this was being promoted as a milsim game, with perhaps one pattern per force. Obviously, that isn't the case. Your decision to disallow multicam seems to stem solely from PLA's tired "multicam is for apes, lolz!!1!" doctrine.

Using only the expansive growth of PLA in the past few months as my anecdotal evidence, I was under the impression that your organization actively encouraged the idea that everyone, irrespective of whether or not they had copious amounts of "apeish" gear, could be a valuable team asset. The very focus of PLA seems to be upon including everyone.

Disbarring an entire set of players from attending an event based solely upon the pattern of their uniform seems like an awfully elitist --apeish-- thing to do.

The hypocrisy runs deep.

You make a good point. And, the milsim factor is actually why I disallowed it. I want this to me a relatively realistic game, as much as it can be. The sides are US national Guard VS rebel fighters. If you can show me a photograph of US NG wearing MC, feel free to wear it. I'll retract my statement and apologize nicely. As for the Rebel fighters, from my my reasoning, they are trying to disassociate themselves from any military organization. This is why I'd have them wear RealTree, street clothes, etc.

PS, I'll loan you some woodland, Justin. ;)

Also, I appreciate your input. If it really looks like a very large percentage of people will be barred from attendance by the camo ruling, I will reconsider.

First, show me a picture of a super-solider impervious to small-arms fire, and then I'll believe it's a milsim-oriented game.

I can see not allowing Multicam on the US side...but why wouldn't the rebels be allowed to wear it? Shouldn't they be allowed to wear anything that is out there?

You could even allow them to wear US patterns to make thing really hectic.

Its your game to do with as you will, but Karma does make a good point that your decision to not allow multicam is strange.

And if you are going for realism...nearly invulnerable super soldiers sort of throw that idea out the window.

Multicam may fit on the rebel side... While it is not popular with actual military organizations, I'll bet that there are a lot of civilians out there that have bought multicam and would use it in a combat op. Think of the people that go to those Magpul training days. I can see those people in multicam.

Well then. People are right. I've edited the first post; Multicam will be on Rebel side. Hope no one got the wrong idea about PLA at all, as it was simply me and my failure to think things through.

I found a pic of some Air National Guard troops in Multicam.

Not sure if that is what you are looking for but I thought I would throw it out there.

I stand corrected. Thank you, and I apologize to anyone that this caused grief to. Post is, as previously stated, edited.

If you're going to psot the picture, you may want to post the original page it was on, not just the picture. As you can take that photo and say it's the Portland Police Department.

Sure, no prob. I figured I would look into it considering how many people use multicam in airsoft. Thought it would be good to possibly find something to include them in the fun :)
