We'll get into that in the future. Expect an announcement after Grid18 happens. Remember, this is our test event. If the field plays nicely, and the owner likes our group of folks... Expect an announcement about future games to come very soon after.

UPDATE: Camping IS available on the site at no additional charge. John from Splat Action was very nice about this! They prefer that people have motor homes or campers rather than tents, if possible. If you're bringing any alcohol, they just ask that you keep it to yourself. Friday night or Saturday night (or both if you need) are ok! I'll know more about gate times and such after this weekend.

Just curious, whats the expected time table on the game. Is there an estimated end time. Just want to make sure I have things set for game day.

That would be useful for the people who have to leave the same day as well.

This was answered previously. Expected end time would be around dusk. Signup and registration should be between 9am to 11am. Gameplay starts at 11:00, and I'd imagine the game ends at around 5pm. Since it's a single day OP, we'll try and cram as much game time into daylight as we can.

I will need coordinators there 2 hours (or more) before kickoff. We need 1 hour to prep field. Then 1 hour for team briefs. I will do one large brief, then two small briefs for each team.

There will be no time limit on mission ONE. One side or the other will accomplish the primary and secondary missions. It could also be a mix, Alpha may win primary, delta secondary, when both are accomplished, mission will end.

Remember Mission one breakdown. Its all about the vaccine. Who knows where it is, and how can the inside team get ahold of it.

Outcomes are either:
Outside team prevents inside team from getting it or inside team gets it.

Mission two is all about establishing comms with the outside.
Comm tower must be powered up and signal sent.

Inside: Get power and hook up to comm tower.
Outside: Blow up comm tower.

Mission Two secondary...
Inside. Locate Satcomm uplink Bring to base, send signal
Outside: Find Satcomm uplink first... Destroy in place

(this gives outside commanders two things to do. Lose either, you lose mission 2.)
Inside can either win primary or secondary and they accomplish mission 2.

Mission Three
will be an evac scenario with two possible ways for escape for the inside team. Via a Helicoptor or on foot. Helicopter landing location will be determined by pilot and location will be given to inside team, outside team will need to use intence recon skills to determine evac lacation by monitoring inside team movement etc. When Heli lands Inside team must keep landing zone secure for 5 minutes. This will be done by placing a triangle of three posts. These colored stakes need to be upright and in the ground the whole 5 minutes. (start to finish) (this is time for heli approach, landing and takeoff) Inside team will have two chances at this. Failure on second try means you are hoofing it out. Only those with vaccine may leave in the Heli scenario. The rest who are still alive will duke it out until the death. :)

The "on-foot" evac scenario will require vaccinated members (escorted by non vacc members) to reach one of two exit locations. Once exit location is reached, it will also need to be held for 5 minutes with the three posts as above. The main difference with evac 1 and 2 is distance and difficulty. Heli is closer and easier, 2 requires inside force to manuever THROUGH outside force front line. (much harder)

If mission three fails for inside team, it will then be a battle to the death to finish things off with no respawn for inside team after mission failure. I thought this would be a funner way to end things rather than calling the game. ONCE MISSION is over win or lose (for inside team) I will continue the action for 30 mins or until dusk. (hope that made sence)

Mission One and three will have secondary missions more focused on fun rather than critical OP outcomes. These will be given at game time.

Another bit of news... Some players will carry Intel on them. Papers that give enemy positions, papers that give vaccine locations, papers that give away a spy. Both teams will have these.

I appreciate you checking on this for me Matt. But unfortunately not only do I have a tent...........I have the MOTHER of all tents.

So we will probably stay at Jubitz and drive down in the morn. That worked really good before.

Besides I dont want to screw this up for you guys.

So wait, we can camp... Just as long as we dont have a tent? Coming from Philomath, I imagine that we might camp the night, then head out the next morning... But if tents are a no no... Then nevermind, we will just drive home after the game.
