This is a very unlikely possibility, and only mentioned here because we want to stress that it's important for teams to police up the guns and any other dangerous gear left on their fallen team members... Or to guard or extract those guys. Leaving that stuff sitting around is like a ticking time bomb. This guideline has been in CQC since CQC3.
If an actor were to break an AEG, we would reimburse you for the equipment. Again, the likelihood of this happening on an iteration is slim. You would have had to make some serious mistakes to be put in this predicament.
