A.P. Standard Field and Safety Rules:

The following rules are for the safety of the players. Those who are unable to follow these rules will be considered unsafe players and will not be welcome at future games and events.

1. Always wear eye protection in the form of goggles, masks, or shooting glasses, or safety glasses. Never remove your eye protection while on the battlefield. Regular prescription glasses are NOT acceptable as safety eyeware. Must meet ANSI Z87.1 standards and wrap around the face.

2. Do not fire in the deadpool (or designated "safe-zones") or through it. If you must testfire your replica, take it into the hot-zone and fire it there.

3. All replicas in deadpool or safe-zones have magazine out, safety on, muzzle cap fixed. Sidearms should be holstered and on safe.

4. Do not point your replica at anyone unless you are involved in a game on the battlefield and intend to shoot them.

5. Do not fire at any person without proper eye protection.

6. Do not fire at non-participants, including animals.

7. No illegal drug use will be permitted. No alcohol use before or during a game.

8. Leave real steel firearms at home! Real steel and Airsoft DO NOT MIX.

9. Carry replicas in boxes, bags, or carrying cases while transporting gear on or off the field. Do not remove your replica from it's case near a public highway, instead carry your gear in it's case to the designated staging area for the game.

10. Remove all of your gear and trash from the field when you leave.

Standard FPS Limits:
Chronographs are often used before games to test all replicas present. Any replicas that test too high will not be allowed in play. No exceptions will be made, please research upgrades and how they effect your replica before purchasing or installing them. All of the follow velocity limits are with .20g BBs.

Standard 6mm BBs
Gas Pistols - Green Gas
Fully Automatics - 400 fps (1.5j)
Sniper Rifles (Bolt Action) - 550 FPS (2.8j)
CQB/Indoor - All under 330 fps (0.8j)
*Limits Measured with .20g B

.27g 8mm BBs
Fully/Semi Automatics - 345 fps (1.5j)
CQB/Indoor - All under 285 fps (1j)
Sniper Rifles (Bolt Action ONLY) - 475 FPS (2.8j)
*Limits Measured with .27g 8mm BB

Rules of Engagement:
As a new player you'll want to know how these simple game mechanics work so you'll understand what to do in skirmish for different situations.

HITS & OUTS
- Anyone hit by a BB is hit and out.
- If you are "hit" during a game, 1) immediately yell "HIT!" as loud as you can, 2) place an orange or bright red bandana over your head, 3) walk back to the designated deadpool with the bandana clearly visible at all times. (Any rag, bandana, shirt, or bright cloth of the correct color is acceptable). Hold your replica in a non-threatening manner, do not fire, and do not talk or interact with other players who are still active in the game.
- Ricochet BBs do not count as hits.
- Hits to your replica do not count as hits.
- When in doubt about a hit, call yourself out.

SAFETY KILLS
When you are too close in range to be comfortable taking a shot, you can call out "SAFETY KILL" on the player in your sights. Any clean shots with no cover under 30 feet are good candidates for safety kills. Do not call it unless the kill is already a given. Always honor safety kills when they are called on you just like honoring a "HIT". Safety kills can only be called on one individual at a time, not on entire groups. "SAFETY KILL" must be said loudly, as to simulate actually firing. Silence can only be maintained if you can tag the other player out. You must be able to point your replica and call "SAFETY KILL" on every person if there is more than one.

SNIPER SAFETY
Anyone acting as a sniper with an upgraded bolt action rifle over 400 fps (1.5j) should carry a sidearm that can be used alternately when engaging targets closer than about 60 feet. If you have no sidearm and find yourself too close to the opposing force, you may either a) call a safety kill, b) wait until they move to a safe range or c) relocate to a safe range. Do not fire at targets closer than 60 feet.

BLIND MAN
This is called whenever a non-player enters the battlefield, or when a player enters the battlefield without eye protection. All players are expected to echo blind man so that everyone on the field hears it, and upon hearing it each player is expected to sit down and wait until "Game on" is called to continue the game. If necessary, game coordinators will explain the game to the non-participants.

IF LOCAL POLICE ENTER THE FIELD
This is a potentially dangerous situation, and is treated as if they don't know we are playing a game. All players are expected to walk to the deadpool in plain sight, either with their guns over their head or leaving their guns in the field. Upon reaching the deadpool each player is to place his replica with his gear and gather in a group at least 20 feet from the gear. This is to provide safety by comforting the officers by removing any equipment that appears threatening to them. Gameplay is not commenced until we explain the situation and are allowed to continue.

Waivers:
Be prepared to fill out a Airsoft Ammo Supply and Titan 1 Tactical waiver - There is always confusion about "having a waiver on file". Titan 1 Tactical & Airsoft Ammo Supply requires a NEW waiver at every event. So this means that nobody "has a waiver on file" and everyone must fill out a new one. Sorry NO exceptions.

I have included the links listed below so that you may print them out at home/work and have them prepared before hand and ready to turn in when registering. This will greatly reduce the amount of time spent at the registration booth.

FACTION WARS 2.0 (a 2 part series)

Game details:

Factions:

Bemabe: (Woodland, DPM, Any Digital Camo, Tigerstripe, Faction Fighter -Green band)

Kabila: (Solid Color, PMC, Faction Fighter -Blue band)

US Special Forces: (Multicam)

Game play:
Each faction will begin each round (3 rounds total) with their designated base/area in their control. All other designated landmarks and other faction bases are up for grabs throughout the rounds. Every designated landmark and faction base has a point value attached to it. You will have access to maps designating the landmarks that have point values assessed to them as well as enemy base locations. Every designated landmark that has a point value will also have a colored flag by it. This is to signify two things. 1. That it’s a designated landmark 2. The point value assessed to it based by the color. In addition, every faction will also have missions listed that will be independent of the game itself. These missions will require skill and motivation to complete allowing your team to gain more points in the game itself.

Points Scale:

Flag Capture Points:

Purple Flag Capture: 100pts

Orange Flag Capture: 200pts

Yellow Flag Capture: 300pts

Capture Enemy Main Base Flag (Blue, Red, Green Flags): 500pts

Special Items:

Gold Bar: 50pts

Solid Color Heads: 75pts

Laptop: 100pts

Ammo Can: 150pts

Nuclear Rocket: 300pts

Warlord Capture:

Capture and Kill Warlord: 1000pts

Game Play FAQ:

How to capture a landmark flag:
Every faction will have a pre-designated colored flag. These flags will be located at every designated landmark.
To capture a landmark you place your factions colored flag in the flag holder at the landmark. If your factions flag is still in the holder at the end of the round you will capture that landmark and those points will be awarded to your faction.

How to capture a base flag:
By stealing a faction’s base flag and returning it to your base. In the event you are killed in this process, you need to stand up the flag on its end and return to your factions base. Now at this point, the flag is eligible to be captured by any faction or reclaimed and brought back to the faction’s base from which it was taken from. Once a base flag is captured and returned to an opposing factions base that flag is no longer in play until the next round. A faction does not earn points for reclaiming their flag and safely returning it to their base and please note in this situation the flag is still in play unless captured and returned to an opposing factions base.

How to earn points:
Your faction will be awarded points at the END of each round, meaning, fight and hold what you take. Whoever’s flag is in the flag holder at the designated landmark at the end of the round will receive those points. Any Special Missions completed during the round will be scored at the end of the round. Any base flags captured will be awarded. Any warlords captured will be awarded. There will also be some other point value items in play during the rounds which you will be briefed on before the event.

Capturing Warlords:
Leadership roles (The Warlords/US Commander) are the only prisoners you may take.
Capture and publically put to death enemy faction leaders by wounding them in the field of battle.
(shooting them as normal) Take them prisoner and return to your own faction base.
Here you will put the enemy warlord to death infront of your people, and demostrate how powerful you are.

Warlord after being shot must wait 5 minutes in place to allow for opposing teams attempts on a capture before returning to respawn at his/her base.
The warlords team can try defending against the opposing teams from capturing the warlord and/or try to move him/her back to their base for respawn.

Defending Warlords:
Warlords team can defend him/her from capture by simply shooting at opposing factions while trying to move warlord back to his/her base to respawn. This is the only time a warlord can move before waiting out the 5 minute time limit after being shot. Warlord: Your team must be within 10 feet of you at all times in order for you to be able to move towards your respawn. In the event that all team members within the 10 feet are killed, warlord must sit back down in place and restart over the 5 minute waiting period. This happens each and everytime you are moved and everyone that was escorting the warlord is killed that was within 10 feet.

*So if you teammates are starting to get overrun and killed off you better get your reinforcements within the 10 feet before everyone is killed off.

re-capturing Warlords:
Warlord/ US Commander can be recaptured by opoosing factions while in your captivity until the moment he enters your CP (shooting the captures as normal). Once he arrives at this point he's is considered "Out of Play" and cannot be reclaimed.

***In either situation Warlord/ US Commander must return to their faction base and respawn according to games respawn rules.

Vehicles Allowed:
NO.
The field rule is that a admin must drive the vehicle. Unfortunately we do not have enough admins to adequately staff the field and multiple vehicles. I'm also uncomfortable using them with the possible damage they might incur and I am unsure if the insurance would cover this type of action anyways.

Rounds – Time Limits:
Round 1: 1 hour 15 minutes
Round 2: 1 hour 15 minutes
Round 3: 1 hour

Are there breaks between each round?
Yes. There are 25 minute breaks after Round 1 and Round 2.
This gives you enough time to eat, drink, resupply, receive orders, etc.
All players must leave the game play area and return to parking area as we reset the field.

Respawn Rules
When shot you must go back all the way to your base or one of the 3 capturable (in-game) respawn points--> These will be designated prior to gamestart.

Respawn locations will be marked with a flag as well.

-5 man respawn rule is in effect. If players do not abide by these rules, or choose not to move back to their spawn point prior to respawning will be removed from the event and kicked out for the day.

-Players may not loiter in the respawn area. If you are in the respawn area, respawn with the first 5 people, and loiter in your CP.

-Enemy Combatants may not camp the respawn area. If you are found to be camping an enemy respawn location, you will be removed from the field and kicked for the day.

Grenade Rules/Play
Grenade rules/play are in effect for "somalia city" only unless deemed necessary somewhere else. Admin will notify you if this changes.

This is only to help enforce a safer atmosphere in the city to help avoid players lighting up a room full of dudes at close range.

Nerf howlers/rockets, tennis balls, racquet balls are the only items acceptable to use as a simulator grenade. I like racquet balls better because they are lighter than tennis balls and all these items have no metal parts unlike most other simulator grenades out there(mad bull, Snicker 360 grenade.)

Throwing a grenade one into a room (window/doorway) and landing/rest inside the room will successfully kill all occupants in said room (only the room it rests in). All occupants are automatically dead including any warlords. All must return to their base respawn in this scenario (including warlord).

I will try to scrounge up some rockets, tennis balls, racquet balls if anyone wants to purchase some. Of course only pay what I pay for them.

UPDATES:------------------------------------------------

I need faction leaders..

This is a role you can make it to be whatever you want. Since I still not received a field map you may have to wing it until day of when you can scout the field. I akin it to a basketball coach, calling out plays to his players on the fly.

Really it's just a figure head for your team. If you are going to be a faction leader (except us team) then you need to dress up like one of those zany faction fighters listed below. It's your call on the look but don't show up as some delta elite tactical gear whore. That's not the look of the faction leaders.

US side can dress as whatever gear whore member they want.

example:

Faction Leaders:
Bemba Leader: Wombat Six
Mugabe Leader: LiquidSnak
Kabila Leader: grahamc
US Special Forces Leader: Bad Karma

To clarify the camping situation (because I messed this up several pages back):

Camping is not included in the price of admission. It wasn't since the inception of the game thread however I forgot this because I normally include it.

So let's clarify so we are all on the same page or maybe just for me:

You want to camp and play: $30.00

You just want to camp and no play: $5.00

You just want to show up on gameday to play and NOT camp: $25.00

Normally the game fee is increased to include the admission and camping into one. However this is not fair for the ones that just want to play and not camp. So I have decided to make it ala carte from this game forward to reduce the costs of my events.

Camping is an extra charge I have to pay for and we always lose money on the camping portion but we do it because we know how much fun it is for many of us. So we just take the loss and let the admission side absorb it.

Food:
Dinner is at 7pm on Saturday. We will be having pizza and soft drinks. If you get there at 7:20 there is no guaranteee that anything will be available/left.

I am purchasing 20 pizzas and 10 cases of pop and 2 cases of water. When it's gone, it's gone.
So I suggest that if you want to get in on the free food/drink make sure you are there around 7pm when it arrives.

Private Forums:
Private Forums should be available monday.

***Breaking News***

Today Mugabe and Memba Warlords held a peace conference to put aside their differences and join forces to become a large signletary fighting force. A force big enough to destroy the likes of Kabila and the US Forces.

Wombat Six, warlord of Bemba was moved onto Kabila roster per his request and given private access to their boards..

a New private forum will be created called Bemabe. Will conversion will be completed within the next day.

I really hope with the merger of bemba and mugabe brings together better planning because kabila and the US forces are planning and planning well. They are getting ready to pwn all of yer asses.

Map will be added in the private forums only by monday night

----------------------------------------------------------
8-16-09

Kabila and Bemabe Factions have been locked from any further registrations at this point until US Special Forces Factions starting getting more participants.

If you want to attend this event at this point it must be via the US Special Forces Faction which requires multi-cam uniform.

Ok guys some of you have asked for a Event to be hosted at a field other than Splat Action so here you go.

This field has multiple structures and a jihad city, Covered and Open areas, most of the ground is flat. has broken down vehicles to use as cover among other structures.. etc.,

Plus titan and warpaint are improving the field all the time.
