Thanks to all the players who came out today. As true Northwest airsoft players, we slogged through the mud and the rain. Would like to thank Extreme Velocity for the use of game props and rentals. We had a good turn out despite the weather.....28 players, some from as far away as Battleground Washington. The games were fast paced and intense....a lot of CQB action. Thanks to Cyclops and Hawkeye for coming down and chaperoning a brand new player to airsoft. Was great to see so many players who were new to The Swamp field. We debuted our honor shot system, which means each Admin carries an airsoft pistol and if they suspect a player is not calling their hits, they shoot that player, who is not aware of their presence, in an obvious place to be sure they feel the hit. By doing this, we can see if the player is calling their hits. If they do call the hit, our admin lets them know that they are still in and that it was an honor shot, they can continue to play. If the player does not call the hit, they are given 1 warning for the day and if they do it again, they are asked to leave for the day with no refund. At The Swamp, it is very important to us that people play with honor and integrity. Since we deployed this new system today, we had no complaints about people playing dishonorably. We look forward to using this honor shot system and helping to improve the sport of airsoft.
