Santas War 9: The Second Front

ImageFor the past 8 years, The Grand Army of the North and the Army of Adolph Grinchler have occupied the worlds attention. Meanwhile, on the other end of the North Pole, a corrupt official has seized control of Saint Kringlesburg; Burgermeister Meisterburger.

Saint Kringlesburg is the home of a major toy production facility that the factories of Santasgrad rely on for toy components. But Burgermeister Meisterburger has different ideas. He's converted the workshops of Saint Kringlesburg into weapons factories, and has ringed Saint Kringlesburg with Surface to Air Missiles, Anti-fun Guns, and Gumdrup Minefields.

General Peppermint Patton and the Grand Army of the North are occupying positions on the Grinchistani Border, containing Adolph Grinchler and the Grinchtruppen. Santa and the 506th Parachute Elf Regiment are heading to Saint Kringlesburg.

Can Santa and his faithful soldiers make Burgermeister Meisterburger see reason? Or will the forests of the Kringlian Peninsula ring with the sound of gunfire and death?

Santas War.

Location: the mountains above Estacada (directions at the bottom)
Time: Game Starts at 11am (We'll get there at about 10am for set-up)
Uniform:
Grand Army of Santa - Red Armband
Army of Burgermeister Meisterburger - Yellow Armband
Yes, everyone needs A Yellow or Red arm band that is visible from all directions. If you’re wearing a Ghillie Suit, we’ll have to wrap your arm in such a manner that the Ghillie doesn’t cover the band. If you don’t supply your own armband, we’ll have duct tape on hand to use.
It’s custom that people call what team they’re on. Feel free to do that; we just won’t be recording it and keeping track of whos doing what. Sadly, event organizers have lives too and keeping up with who’s on what team isn't something we’re in a position to keep track of.

Event Cost:
1 New, In Box, Unwrapped Toy - consider the amount you would pay for a regular game (You, or people you know, are unemployed this Holiday Season. Lots of other people are in similar situations, and their children are looking at a bleak Christmas Morning. Skip that Big Mac, skip that Latte, and put your money towards helping a kid this year. There is no such thing as bringing too many new in box, unwrapped toys to donate. You never know, you just might be helping one of your friends this year.)

FPS Restrictions:
Automatic/Semi-Automatic weapons – 400FPS
Bolt Action Rifle – 550FPS
Ammo:
We'll be using biodegradable BB's for this event. We'll be chronoing your rifles with .20g BB's

Waivers:
We'll have a downloadable waiver uploaded soon. Everyone needs a waiver.

Featuring Special Characters:
Santa Claus:
Burgermeister Meisterburgerl: Alex Kaeda

Special Rules:
This is a fun and light-hearted game to help the Toys for Tots. It is not a hardcore milsim game. Please use extra consideration above and beyond what we're used to using when playing, and remember to have fun. Don't fire excessively at any one target. Remember that some Special Character players (Such as Santa or Burgermeister Meisterburger) may be 'effectively invincible' for whatever reason. Have Fun, and don't get all bogged down in the tiny details.

Normally, when we die, we put a brightly colored rag on our heads. This game isn't about camouflage, and we're using brightly colored rags and arm bands to denote which side you're on. Instead, if you're wearing a head-cover, take it off, and hold your rifle over your head while going back to your spawn point. Its inevitable that you'll still be shot, so use consideration when shooting, and understanding when being shot.

Administrators will be on the field, observing major combat areas. To enhance game-play, sometimes areas will be declared off-limits. The administrators are not out to get you, they're there to keep things running smoothly and make sure that everyone is having fun. If you're having a problem, don't get mad, find one of us, and we'll sort it out.

We will be observing the normal 400fps limit for semi-automatic-and fully-automatic guns in outdoor situations, and a 550fps limit for Bolt Action “Sniper” guns. We'll be using .20gram BB's at the chrono station. There are no magazine restrictions.

Please be prepared for the weather. This is the Pacific Northwest in December. Odds are, it'll rain - we have also had snow at this field. Bring a change of socks at the minimum, and we highly encourage everyone to bring a change of clothes. In the event that conditions become unsafe due to poor weather, we’ll call the game early. Otherwise, expect to play from about 11A-3P

This is an all-ages game - this does not mean, however, that we are there to babysit you. Airsoft is an adult game, and everyone in attendance is expected to act like an Adult. If you are incapable of acting like a mature responsible adult, regardless of age, you will be asked to leave.

Directions to find the field:
I am going to assume that everyone knows where Estacada Oregon is (if you are not so sure, find Google maps, it is your friend). Pass through Estacada going east, and continue to head east on Clackamas Highway (sorry, I dont know the highway number, its either 214, or 224 or something). As you approach the top of the hill, you will see Fall Creek Road. Turn left onto Fall Creek Road, it takes a couple twists, then becomes Divers Road. Almost as soon as you're on Divers Road, you come to a stop, at Tumala Mountain Road. Turn Right onto Tumala Mountain Road, and follow it for about 10 miles until you come to an unnamed fork in the road with a big a$$ sign that says 'SANTA', take fork LEFT continue til you see another sign that says "SANTA", turn left and you'll see people, cars, and fun.

There is not an address to this field.

What's the rule on melee kills and melee weapon qualifications?

I'll be there bringing at least 2 others and a sack of toy's. Don't care what team we are on but we stick together.
One mag one kill.

Still have seats available in the Beaverton area if anyone is having trouble getting a ride out there.

Looks like a fun place to play! Wish we could have gone. Multicam would have been hard to hide. Next year we will be running both tan and green base colors. Mix it up a bit. How many players showed up? How big is the area you were playing in? Looks cool! Nice video Blue!
