Thank you for the feedback, honestly. While the things you're adressing are valid and albeit interesting points, they are all being adressed thoroughly. I plan to have at least three admins on the field at all times. The tournament is set up in 4 vs 4 brackets so that takes care of the one guy's (sorry, forgot your screen name) idea of having one ref for every 2 or 3 players. One of these admins being myself, so I can be sure things are running smoothly.

Gametypes are all fast paced objective gametypes that are tried and tested at my field to work well with the community of players that I tend to get here the most often. Think of Das Hill as... oh, outdoor CQB. It's big enough to host maybe.. 14 on 14 games, but tight enough to make it a really outstanding place for this 4 on 4 double elminiation bracket tournament to take place.

As for cheating for the money? I don't know about the Oregon/South Washington community that much so I can't really say wether or not something like that would happen down there. But I have alot of faith in the players that come to my field, and in the past few years rarely do I have problems with cheaters. And with three admins on the field at all times, I'm sure I can weed out the unsportsmanlike few who would dare to ruin the fun of such an event.

And Matt, thank you for the suggestion. I figured since all the info was in the link, I'd just leave it as is, but I'll go ahead and slap some valuable info up there if it would make it more helpful for those who are interested.

Sorry for taking so long to reply to your concerns, was busy-busy yesterday.
Anyway, thanks for all your input, as it serves to make the event more solid with every problem we adress. Thanks guys!

You must be rolling in dough, for every cent of entry fees to go back to players in the form of prizes instead of paying the expenses of the game.
Interesting idea. Would like to see more information about what you'd actually be doing. 'The accuracy competition is a standart target shoot, with a few small modifications' and 'fast paced, high intensity objective based rounds' is sort of vague. I see that you'll tell players about it in the pre-game briefing but it's kind of nice to know if you'll be doing something you actually like to do before you pay.
I hope this works out for you!
Edit: Oh snap, you replied right as I posted.

Haha postception xP

I will have more information up as time goes on, as the event is about 7 weeks away. I have heard from other forums and websites that people would like more info on the specifics of the combat bracket / accuracy competition, so I will be sure to add that in the near future.
