Had a great time.

Thanks Tim and Ron for all the great instruction. Ron it is nice to have you back in the community you are a great asset, also your WE M14 is the sex. Tim you rock thanks for driving a thousand miles and always giving your all. You guys prove that there is ALWAYS something you can learn and work on.

Thanks Ivan for letting us use your field it worked great, and it was nice to have some fragistan members there.

Thanks Airsoft Outlet NW for sponsoring the ATA, it was awesome having your support! Now many new players will know about the outlet and know that you guys rock and help out the local community.

Lastly I would like to thank everyone who came out to train or help out, it wouldn't of been possible without you all.

Thanks you guys. I'm new to the sport and now a feel like I have some basic knowledge and more importantly I know what I should be working on in order to improve. It was a Blast. I went home dirty, smelly and happy as a clam.

Thanks to everyone that came out and making this a success.
A big thanks to AONW for the BBs and Schwag.

and of course thanks to the other instructors that helped herd the cats!

Our next training event (Marksmanship) will be sometime in October hopefully.

I'm looking through the pics I took and splicing together a highlights reel.

Edit: here's my pics.

Here you see several people doing a good Walk while shooting....notice that thier feet are not over extended, knee's bent (to reduce bounce) Look at the film... you can see how failing to keep your knee's bent cause a 'bounce' in people weapons. If you have the chance to record yourself as you walk and engage, watch the video to see if it looks right to you. I look forward to seeing you all at the Marksmanship Class.

Remember.... failure to practice your skills, will cause your proficiency to diminish.

Shoot, move, and communicate

Thanks Tim for putting this on. The boys and I had a blast. The one on leave from Afghanistan laughed at us other two for sucking wind. Being computer geeks made us soft, time to build better bodies. :)

Thanks Ron for your time and personal experience. Very informative. Very fun. I have to admit my brain didn't retain everything. When an assault group hits the target from the flank a SAW is supposed to "shift fire". What was the term to elevate the fire beyond the attack zone?

The bounding drills worked great on open ground. I am not sure the skills carried into the forest. I didn't see much in the way of buddies supporting each other with fire. Maybe in the furture combine the bounding drills with broken ground, trees, brush and someone shooting back. Oh wait, that was what was done in the forest, never mind.

Yeah, being an IT guy is bad for being an airsofter.

"Lift Fire"

I saw the same thing, repeating the drill in the forest might help it to stick.
