SERE Scenario

Survival Evasion Resistance Escape (SERE)
Do you have what it takes? Do you want to test yourself? Your team?
24 hours plus of grueling in your face action that will leave you exhausted and spent at the end of the mission.

Praetorian Guard and ODO will be hosting a SERE event at the Roy Field on July 17th 0900 through July 18th Until Complete. This scenario is going to be running in conjunction with Operation White Jindo.

This will be an overnight scenario that will keep you moving, shooting, and communicating the whole time. There will be a real world mission revolving around a White Jindo and you the Special Operations forces. There will be major objectives as well as minor objectives that must be completed. There will be a fake capture sequence and there will be some rough handling of players. There will be no striking or hitting, rough handling will be limited to you completing exercises and calisthenics.

There will be some small classes to attend at the beginning of the day to get things started. (Basic map reading of our provided maps. Basic simulated first aid.)

Remember this is a course that will be designed to be challenging this is not your typical come out and blast away at the enemy with endless rounds. You will have to carry everything you want to have with you for this entire experience as you will not go back to your vehicles once this starts. There will be a recommended packing list put out later. The only thing Cadre will provide at points around the field is the access to more water. You will be required to carry on you at a minimum 1 camelback, or 2 canteens. We will have water all around the field that you can top off when needed.

When: July 17th 0900 – July 18th UTC

Where: Roy Field

Gearup/ Chrono/ Registration: 0900

Start time: 1000

Cost: $20 if you want to be a SERE operator there will be a tab if you complete the entire event.

Uniform: ALL SERE PARTICIPANTS WILL WEAR LIGHT COLOR ie. Multicam, ACU, DCU, and MARPAT Desert. You will also have an additional uniform to change into as your first one will definitely get wet.

More information in the weeks to come.

You can sign up for either the OPFOR or a limited number who want to participate as part of the Spec Ops team number limited to 12 members only. The OPFOR can sign up for hour blocks as well. You do not need to come out for the whole thing. If you can only come out for a few hours just let me know when you are going to come out. We need folks for all hours of the day and night and there will always be something to do.

There will be additional information put out to everyone as we develop the scenario further and we get an idea of how many are wanting to participate.

OKay, let me get this straight, the "spec ops" team HAS to wear a light camo, why is this?

Also: "Students shall not carry or consume medicine (including intra-venous hydration) unless issued by military medical authorities and specifically approved by the SERE screening Medical Officer. "

- What about medical stuff that you literally cannot live without? i.e. asthma stuff, pain pills (For those with leg injury or other injurys)

It sounds fun, is a military instructor that is a real life SERE teacher going to lead this?

Because our scenario differentiates our teams by the color of there uniforms. So the team will be on the light side.

We are a Military Team so we tend to use Military when talking. However if you have a valid prescription from your doctor and bring that we just need to know about it. We do not want someone to pass out from fatigue or something else and we can not answer as to what you might of taken. We have a retired Army Medical Nurse on our team and he is going to know everything that someone might have wrong before we allow you to do this event. As most of us are Military there have been some talk on CLS bags being out there at the site. We are not allowing them unless we know about them beforehand and you can prove that you are current CLS qualified or EMT qualified.

Do not confuse ARMY SERE with AIRSOFT SERE. The two are nothing alike other than in name. We are simply going to put on a fun event that is going to be somewhat loosely geared towards SERE. We are not trying to take away from anyone that is SERE qualified. We do not have a Qualified SERE intstructor however the team does have several SERE graduates of various levels. SERE A to SERE C!!

We do have basic classes set up for the morning portion. Those classes will be given by Active Duty Military as well as some Retired Military. These classes are basic in nature and are going to be geared towards what you may or may not need in the days events.

Please Feel free to ask more questions like this. Also we are open to advice as were paying attention to what people want to see in our classes and gearing our training towards that. Questions help us think of different things that we might of missed.

Thanks

This is on my birthday!

First, where is roy field??

Im definitely interested, but at most I would have to be opfor since I have previous engagements on the 17th, so I will let you know when it gets a bit closer to game day. I have a current cls but i will have to see if it is still good on gameday, and i also have my own fully stocked cls bag.

Outstanding Weekend of Airsoft.
SERE worked out real well and if others are wanting to attend the next one sometime in August please PM me on PG site. Right now we have 3 that want to and were hoping to get at least 6 as its a big event.

Pictures can be seen here on the PG website.
