Want to participate in RECONDO School but can't swing the student fee? Or maybe you've already been a few times and are looking for something different?

Well, new for 2010 RECONDO School is offering the oportunity for participants to attend as members of the Quick Reaction Force (QRF). The Blue team supporting the school this year will be 2nd Platoon, C Company, 1st of the 503rd, 173rd Infantry Brigade (Abn).

In addition to QRF duties the 2nd Platoon will be responsible for combat patrols, manning radio relay stations and follow on operations in support of the LRP patrols. Depending on interest there may also be the opportunity to spend a night outside the wire in an NDP, complete with LP/OPs.

This is an opportunity for those who can't attend as students for one reason or another (price, lacking LRP impression, physical ability, etc...) yet still want to participate in some way in the iconic Recondo School.

GEAR: USGI line doggie impression (OD fatigues, M4/M16, M56 webgear (or alice in a pinch) and Mitchell cover) required, however we do have loaner gear (like Mitchell covers) to help complete your impression if needed. DO NOT be concerned if you impression is not fully up to snuff, just let us know what you are missing and we'll help. Don't miss out because you think you aren't ready gear wise! Previous Recondo students not attending this year are highly encouraged to consider this option and will be considered for Platoon and squad leader positions.

Price is $35 and includes meals. While we can guarantee trigger time for sure, this is NOT a run and gun spray and pray event! It's key to keep in mind that the QRF's primary mission is to help support the learning objectives of the Recondo Student patrols. That said, those who come as QRF will have their own amazing and authentic experience and will be operating out of the same camp as the RECONDO students. You may even have an opportunity to audit a few of intructional sections. The QRF will run concurrently with RECONDO School and therefore have the same start and ENDEX dates and times.
