GRID 18 : Vehicle Rules

Postby Matt » Mon Jul 20, 2009 11:40 am

Some vehicles and simulated light armor may be present at GRID 18 REDUX, for that reason, we need to post the following vehicle rules.

Vehicle General Rules
    1. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE, IF YOU BRING IT, YOU ASSUME THE RISKS.
    2. Top speed is 10 mph, do not drive faster
    3. Do not drive in heavy underbrush, stick to roads and pathways
    4. Players must remain 10 feet away from moving vehicles, no mad grenade rushes
    5. ALL vehicles must be cleared by the admin before they can be used in the game
    6. Armored vehicles are impervious to BBs, DO NOT light them up because you cannot kill them. (armor is considered any wood or metal plating on the vehicle - window glass does not count, has to look like actual armor)
    7. You CAN kill drivers or occupants of non-armored vehicles, trucks, jeeps, etc
    8. You CANNOT capture or hi-jack a vehicle, only pre-designated drivers can operate them.

Vehicle Hit Rules
    1. Vehicles must be hit by a foam projectile fired from an M203 or other launcher device (spring or gas operated) to be disabled.
    2. 1 hit = disabled vehicle. 2 hits = everyone inside is dead.
    3. Vehicles either use emergency flashers or a red flag to signify "disabled"
    4. Remain stationary for 5 minutes after being hit, then drive back to your CP (or as close as you can get) to respawn
    5. Listen to players when they tell you the vehicle is hit, take their word for it. You may not see it. If you see the vehicle get hit, let them know they are down.

Yes, I know that an M203 is not an anti-vehicle weapon. I don't care. Not many people have other launcher devices, this is the reason why we allow the M203 to be used.

Want to use your Mil-Sim Vehicle?
Contact the admin if you would like to use a mil-sim specific vehicle in the game. We would like to restrict it to vehicles that attempt to simulate a real armored vehicle, rather than have a bunch of trucks and ATVs running around. They should be used for gunnery support or transport of troops. All vehicles are subject to clearance by the admin before they can be used. Please let us know IN ADVANCE, don't just show up and then get pissed off at me if you can't use it. Thanks!
