April 19-20 Airsoft Event

Summer is coming quiclky and I am excited for the upcoing events. We have alot of interest in large participant weekend events and I am thrilled to host one ourselves. Here is a brief discription of the Saturday Events. When we have Sunday pinned down I will send another BLOG........

Saturday:

9:00 sign up and team assignments

9:00-9:45 Weapons check and commander briefing.

10:00-11:45 First mission Begins: Teams will be in position ready for start signal

11:45-12:00 Short Break All participants will remain in the woods at thier camp.

12:00-2:00 Second mission Starts. Teams in position ready for start signal.

2:00-2:45 Lunch Break

2:45-3:00 Commander meeting/Teams will deploy for mission three.

3:00-??? Mission Three Begins: Commanders will enter battlefield, brief team and mission will start.

Team Breakdown: There will be two active teams, Aplha/Bravo

Alpha Team: Woodland Camo’s Only. Squad is a special military force sent into the area for complete removal of all hostiles. Heavily armed, special training and ready to get the job done.

Bravo Team: Any other camo’s (ie desert, multicam, tiger strip, civilian attire). Made mostly of a ragtag paramilitant group of locals ready to protect thier homeland from the invading forces. Highly trained in guerrilla warfare this group will do anything to win.

StealthOps: Information on this group is unknown. Latest Intel has them wearing specialized BDU with highly evolved nano-technologies. The are the most advance soldiers in the world. Thier alliances change from day to day. When they are fighting beside you their loyalty is par to none, however if your the intended target they will eliminate you quickly and silently.

Civilians: armed and unarmed noncombantant are in the area. If fired upon they will fire back. It is important to note that they can be recruited for a price and will fight hard and furiously. They may also have important Intel or supplies, such as ammo, medikits, water/food etc.

News Reporters: Unarmed Noncombatants: Flown ino the area to....well do that hing they do. DO NOT SHOOT THEM. Protect them if you choose, they may be valuable for Intel.

I am looking at the Port Angeles/Sequim group to be in Woodland and everyone else in Bravo team Attire. If you contact me and want to be part of the StealthOps I will give you special BDU requirements. If you want to be a News Reporter bring an orange vest and a video camera or digital camera. Medikits will be provided for both teams. Ghillie suits will be designated for the StealthOps Sniper team, Looking for volunteer for those positions as well.

Looking at doing some special things for this event like a Gun Raffle, Ammo sales, and having the entry fee at NO COST. Any donations will help me offset any expenditures coming out of my pocket.

Feedback appreciated.

Mike Schmitt Commander of The Clan of the Dragon.

very intrested. i like your style man.

edit: dont feel too safe with the velocity rules though.

i can meet the requirements of alpha or bravo, which ever is the underdog.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

seriouse? its gonna be a blast.

obviously you wont going to go out there with a 450 fps gun at close range.

there will be all sorts of guns in action from a couple wlmart m-16 to nice tokyo marui mp5's to 500 fps snipers and 400 fps aeg's.

the terrain is in the forest with ferns. lots of trails, and not overgrown badly at all. GREAT playing feild.

We will be playing a scenario called nuclear football. will be fun.

500fps bolt platforms and 400fps AEGs are the norm. Most people accept that for limits.

However, if you don't have a set limit, I GUARANTEE you will have people showing up with AEGs near 500. It's safer to limit the velocity with a maximum.

hey mike its michael with the sequim team, you know that we'll be there!
also maybe you could ask NATC to use there chronograph and then you could enforce FPS rules better.

yeah, if you leave the fps limits open it will be abused by someone and somebody will get hurt. no FPS limit + no age limit = some kid whose parents threw money at instead of raising properly who is armed with a 500fps automatic.

I personally don't know of any kids under 18 with 500fps AEGs. I know if a couple of adults, but no one under 21, even.
