July 28th-29th JUNK YARD WARS IV (rescheduled)

Postby Psistalker » Fri May 18, 2007 5:54 pm

As a good portion of you know, the wrecking yard changes every year. We have planned and are finalizing the details on our upcoming JYW IV game. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever!!! Some of you will remember the Helicopter that was actually a part of the scenario from JYW III (I like having interactive props and such, not just pretty things to look at that have no effect on the game). So, the question comes up, how are we going to match or top last years schindig??? You will just have to attend to see what suprises we have in store this time. So, the things to look forward to for this year:

* A seperate website to pre-register and pre-pay for a discounted rate
* Sponsors
* Raffles with prizes
* More Staffing
* A new kill house for CQB specific games
* New bunkers and sniper posts
* Bigger and better props and effects
* Catering for lunch on Sunday
* and more!!!

We will have a website up for pre-reg within the next few days- and soon it will have a specific video for JYW IV. I will post updates as they are available....

PS- we currently have ppl working on the JYW III video to finish it before July 7th (there were complications this last year on working another DVD for JYW III, I apologize to all that had to wait this long).

These will be on two of the longest days of the year, so we will get some damn good time to play.

Looks fun Jerome, and I hope it goes well for you.

Sounds like you've got plenty of cool stuff lined up.

Unfortunately it lands on our Camp Comia skirmish host duty weekend for the Spokane Airsoft League.

Later bro!

Wade :!:

I miss ya buddy! It's been too long.... We've headed a bit out that way lately (visiting the Desert Rats in Yakima- Dwayne's team). But have yet to set something up with you..... hmmmmm... I've gotta get back on your boards and maybe get us together again one of these days (I already know about the loss of the Radar Dome as a field- bummer- Best site I've ever played in my opinion- but I'm down just to come and visit you guys). Hows Carl and the gang? Ya keep in touch with them still?

And I'm sorry you won't be able to hit this game my friend- there's alot of good crap we've got going for us over the years. We may be getting more sponsors as well.... we'll see..... Still alot of goodies already in place (I've waited a bit before I promoted too heavily as I wanted all of our ducks in a row before I put out the info- even now though the natcproductions website is being updated daily- we'll be adding directions soon to the players guidebook and banners for our sponsors and other businesses that we've hired for doing the event). We've even got a remote control helicopter lined up for airial (sp?) footage. I'm waiting to hear back from the guy for posting his business name on our site.... Anyway, keep in touch my man..... and one of these days- I'll jet out that way again (just keep in mind ya gotta head this way sometime too). :D

The game date has been edited on this post (we had to push it back a couple of weeks from the original date). It is now posted correctly at July 28th and 29th.

To give you guys a hint of what is to come, here's a couple of details on two scenarios:

Saturday night:

PHASE I~ POW ESCAPE
We plan on having a spot light and air raid siren as the prisoners attempt to escape from one side of the field to the other. In the beginning the guards will be severly outnumbered but as time goes on, the reinforcements will arrive. Example: Say we have 40 players. 5 will start off as guards 2 on far end of field (escape side for prisoners) and 3 will start at the front end of field (the prison camp). If prisoner players have a pistol, they will be able to start with that weapon (may carry AEG on back but may not be used to start- see below). All other prisoners will have AEG's slung on back and considered to have "no" weapon (see below). Guards will start with AEG's, a glow stick (to denote that they are guards), and a pink ribbon (surveyors tape) in pocket. All players will have one respawn. When guards die- a prisoner may reach them, take their ribbon (to denote captured AEG), and then may unsling their AEG, tie on ribbon to barrel area, and this will signify a captured guards weapon (players may only use their own weapons- they may not actually take a "guards" weapon). When prisoners die or "escape" to other side they will find a referee on escape side and they will respawn as a reinforcement guard (to receive a glow stick and ribbon for pocket from ref). All respawns will happen on "escape" side. So as you can see.... sure if the prisoner players want to be uber ninja and take their time they may find themselves hosed as the guards numbers grow rapidly. The Air Raid siren and spotlight should add to the overall feel and atmosphere of the game......

~ FILLER GAME 1 ON SATURDAY NIGHT. We have a double wide mobile home for a kill house. We will do raid on a domestic terrorist that is suspected to be manufacturing home made bombs. This will be a pistol only game and we will have minor special effects inside (explosion, fire, and smoke- not real, this will be a fog machine- so no gas masks are needed). No glowsticks....

~ FILLER GAME 2 ON SATURDAY NIGHT "SHADOW STALKER". This game will incorporate those with tracer rounds. Those with tracer units/mags will disperse into the field with no glowsticks. Every one else will have glowsticks and will be sent to ferret out the hunters. Balance is maintained by fewer numbers having tracer units and yet even though they have stealth advantage, they expose their position when firing.....

Just a few of the things to look forward too... We hope that many of you can come. These games have been well thought out and many details have been put into them to add to the overall atmosphere to give you a real life thrill.

Final words- There is free camping at the site in a gravel parking lot (suggested best for RV's, however if you have airmatresses and such you are more than welcome to pitch tents). Otherwise I am looking into the Belfair State Park again for camping (making sure that ppl can get in late on Saturday evening after games are over....)..... Thanks guys and be sure you register if you are coming (payment isn't necessary when you register, but you can get a reduced rate if you pay early). Looking forward to seeing many of you there for some of the best plastic bb death around.

Yes indeed, this game is still the 28th and 29th. We have lined all of our priorities up for one awesome game. Pre-registration is over for the discount, but you can still register at our parent site if you'd like to mention that you or your team are coming:

www.natcproductions.com

So far we are expecting anywhere from 140-200 players (plus or minus one or two). :lol: Also, there is a link on that site that goes to the latest updates on the game. We are also thinking about doing one last vid for promo, but we might save it for next years game......

I have posted an update in the General threads section about this game... The best thing you can do is to get on our boards (I don't like to clutter other boards with our recruiting or anything that doesn't relate to them or their site specifically- it's a courtesy thing). You can check out our parent site at:

www.natcproductions.com

or hit our boards up at:

www.natcairsoft.com

Thanks for your interest....
